Law student (stud.jur.) wanted at ØENS Advokatfirma

Do you want to get your foot in the door at ØENS Rådgivningshus and try out the law in practice?

Then you have the opportunity here.

We offer you the opportunity to become part of a strong team with some of the best law students. As a stud.jur., you will be attached to the entire department and therefore have a varied daily life with many different tasks. You will, among other things, work with:

• Information gathering
• Ongoing invoicing of cases
• Preparation of pleadings and extracts
• Creation of cases
• Updating the case progression on minretssag.dk
• Other practical and legal tasks that contribute to keeping a law firm well-oiled and efficient

At ØENS we believe in freedom with responsibility. If you are the right candidate, you will have the opportunity to continuously develop and take on more demanding tasks as you gain experience. After about a year you will likely be able to engage more deeply with several areas of law, including debt collection, tenancy law, corporate law as well as family and inheritance law. You may, among other things, have the opportunity to:

• Draft pleadings
• Work with contracts
• Prepare responses, analyses and memoranda
• Attend court hearings
• Contribute to the ongoing handling of our clients' cases

Over time you will greatly have the opportunity to try out the law in practice. You also get the freedom to take responsibility and make a concrete difference in close collaboration with the department's other lawyers.

About you

You are in your first year of law studies and speak and write flawless Danish. We do not necessarily expect you to have top grades; high grades are not everything. At ØENS we look at the whole person. We emphasize that you:

• Are thorough and take pride in delivering high-quality work

It is not required that you have experience from a law firm, a legal aid organization or similar.

What can we offer?

We offer an exciting student job of 15–20 hours per week spread over two to three working days. You will have the opportunity to work more during holidays and exam-free periods. At the same time, we naturally show understanding and flexibility regarding exam study and larger written assignments – just as we expect flexibility in return. At ØENS you also get the opportunity to continuously develop your competences, including through participation in the ØENS Academy.
