About the job

Do you have solid legal experience and a desire to use your professionalism closely with the organization? Can you advise managers and colleagues on personnel law issues while also driving complex processes to a safe conclusion? We are looking for an experienced lawyer who can bring their legal expertise into play in a daily life where the solutions must be legally sound and practically workable.

About the position

As a lawyer in HR you will have a central and independent role, where you both apply your legal expertise to concrete personnel matters and help build the legal framework for the HR area in an organization in development. You will have a versatile role that requires both legal sharpness, good judgment and the ability to understand and translate the organization's needs into clear, robust and practically applicable solutions.

A substantial part of your task portfolio will be to help develop, establish and quality-assure processes, policies, agreements and other HR-related frameworks. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for legal processes from start to finish and help ensure that they are both legally sound and work in practice for managers and employees.

Your primary tasks will include, among other things

  • drive and quality-assure legal processes related to hiring and personnel matters
  • help to develop and implement new processes and workflows in the HR area
  • advise on and support the implementation of new legislation, collective agreements and other regulatory frameworks
  • engage in dialogue with trade unions on specific cases as well as development of policies and local agreements
  • support organizational changes and the personnel law issues that follow
  • contribute to the development and interpretation of policies, agreements and guidelines in the personnel area.

As the HR unit is still being built, there will also be an opportunity to identify needs, take initiative for new solutions and help shape how HR law should support the agency going forward. You will therefore not only be responsible for ensuring that rules are followed – you will also have the opportunity to help create the frameworks and the practice that will make it easy and safe for the organization to navigate complex personnel-law issues.

About you

We expect you to have a relevant legal education, e.g. cand.jur., cand.merc.jur., cand.soc.jur. or equivalent, and a broad interest in the HR area, and several years of experience with personnel law and administrative law.

We imagine that you

  • are motivated by working broadly with HR law and by using your legal expertise close to the organization's everyday life
  • have a solid legal expertise and can work independently and confidently with complex personnel-law issues
  • are eager to help build and develop legal frameworks, processes, policies and agreements in the HR area
  • work structured and independently, while thriving in an environment where professional sparring, collaboration and knowledge sharing are important parts of daily life
  • have good process and organizational understanding and can see the connection between law, workflows, systems and the organization's needs

The office

HR is a newly established unit in the Agency for Education and Science, which is under ongoing development. The unit is responsible for the business-oriented and strategic HR support of the agency and must at the same time help develop the frameworks, processes and workflows that will form the basis for the agency's future HR efforts.

HR supports the agency's leadership and simultaneously drives a number of development tasks and HR processes. You will become part of a small team where there is a short path from idea to action, and where you have the opportunity to influence both task solving and the continued building of the unit. The position is thus an opportunity for you who are motivated by combining personnel law with organizational development and at the same time want to influence the building of an HR area in development.

Do you want to help shape the future?

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed as a senior or chief consultant in the Ministry of Research, Education and Digitalisation's group according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Academics in the State (AC). There is an opportunity to negotiate allowances that match your qualifications.
