Planning Consultant / Senior Consultant to the Staff at Randers Regional Hospital

Do you want to use your experience to strengthen planning at a busy emergency hospital, where you must be able to navigate between the departments' everyday life, the strategic decisions of the health and hospital management, and the political agendas that set the framework for the hospital?

There are many complex tasks on the table, and the expectations for planning, overview and a solid basis for decisions are high. At the same time, we are a developing team with several new colleagues. Therefore we need an experienced planning consultant/senior consultant who can jump straight into the tasks and be a strong professional sparring partner, both for the management and for us in the planning team.

About the position

In Plan we support the health and hospital management and the departments with analyses, planning, monitoring of waiting times, specialty planning, area management and cross-cutting tasks. You work closely with both daily operations and strategic decisions, and we expect you to quickly take independent responsibility for larger cases.

Your tasks

As a planning consultant you will have a varied day-to-day with both strategic and operational tasks:

• Planning consultant for one or more departments: You are the department management's fixed sparring partner and the link to the health and hospital management. You know the departments’ activity, capacity and challenges and ensure that the planning supports both operations and long-term development.
• Capacity analyses: You analyze activity, flow and waiting times, assess whether the departments’ capacity matches the needs, and translate the figures into a clear basis for the management's priorities.
• Decision basis: You prepare case materials, notes and analyses for the health and hospital management and the department management circle, so the leadership has a solid basis for making decisions, also in complex cases.
• Process management and facilitation: You drive working groups and meetings with the clinical departments and ensure that discussions lead to clear decisions, a clear division of responsibilities and agreed next steps.
• Sparring and advising: You advise the management and departments and contribute with your experience to the other colleagues in the planning team.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced and structured colleague with a social science master’s degree, e.g. cand.scient.pol. or cand.scient.adm.

Maybe you are already a senior consultant, or perhaps you are an experienced AC assistant who is ready to take the next step in your career. The most important thing is that your education and experience have given you a solid foundation in analysis, planning and politically-administrative work.

• have knowledge of patient rights, including the right to evaluation and treatment

• can translate complex issues into clear decision proposals, both in writing and speaking
• have organizational savvy and can act professionally and trustfully across management levels
• work independently, prioritize sharply and follow your tasks through to the end
• want to share your knowledge and help lift a team in development
• are comfortable with the use of AI
• are outgoing, have a sense of humor and can create calm and direction when the framework shifts, or when a case takes an unexpected turn

Employment terms
