Lecturer for the carpentry education at Aarhus Tech

Person profile

You are visionary, development-oriented and passionate about motivating, communicating and teaching. You have a positive and proactive approach to new tasks/issues. You are punctual and able to deliver on time. You should have the desire and interest to teach people of different ages with very diverse backgrounds. You are outgoing and able to create a positive atmosphere. You can convey and motivate in relation to each individual student’s learning style.

Job profile

You will join a team of dedicated colleagues with a high pedagogical and vocational level, who plan, implement and develop teaching across a number of different educations. You will become part of an active teaching environment where flexibility and adaptability are keywords. You are largely involved in shaping your daily work yourself. At the same time you will have good opportunities to develop your personal and professional qualifications.

Qualification profile

You must have a vocational education as a skilled carpentry carpenter, preferably supplemented with a higher education. As a teacher on the carpentry education, knowledge of the industry and experience with varied tasks within the trade are required. Work experience within the trade is highly prioritized. We expect that you can use IT for material development and use in teaching including the Office-suite and Inventor.

Employment terms

We can offer employment on civil service-like terms on base salary, seniority level 1 – 7, depending on your experience. There may be an opportunity for negotiation of allowances. There is an attractive pension scheme attached to the position.

Applicants without a pedagogical education must complete a pedagogical diploma within the first 4 years of employment. This typically begins one year after appointment.
