Legal Intern (intern) in Intellectual Property sought for Nine United’s Legal Team

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

We are looking for a curious and engaged IP intern for our legal department, where you will get a unique opportunity to work closely with our IP lawyer and gain hands-on experience with IP-related issues in a commercial and international context.

As an intern you will be an integrated part of the team and gain insight into how legal advice supports the company99s work with design, product development, marketing and protection of intellectual property rights.

The internship will be planned with consideration of your study program and learning objectives.

YOUR TASKS

You will primarily work with intellectual property and other legal tasks related to our design companies &Tradition, NINE and Studio 9, including:

• Carrying out legal inquiries and research within design law, copyright, trademark law and marketing law
• Screening, monitoring and assessing potential IP infringements on online marketplaces, social media and websites
• Assistance in enforcing intellectual property rights, including drafting of demand letters and other correspondence, as well as working with customs surveillance
• Preparation of memos and analyses concerning IP-related issues
• Assist with registration and maintenance of design and trademark portfolios
• Assistance in connection with product launches and assessment of IP risks
• Assist with review and preparation of IP-related agreements, including license, design and collaboration agreements
• Participation in the development and maintenance of internal IP processes and compliance initiatives
• Ad hoc legal assistance to the Legal team

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE

• Practical experience with IP in an international group
• Insight into the protection and enforcement of design, trademark and copyright rights
• Experience with handling IP-related disputes and risk assessments
• Understanding of the interaction between law, design and commercial considerations
• Training in legal analysis, research and written communication
• Experience with contract drafting and legal project work

YOUR PROFILE

We envision that you

• Are a candidate student in the master's program cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.
• Have a particular interest in intellectual property and preferably some knowledge of design law, copyright or trademark law. If you have taken related courses, this would be an advantage.
• Are curious, structured and analytical
• Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
• Have strong written communication skills in both Danish and English
• Thrive in collaborating across disciplines and cultures

The internship is expected to begin in January, and will be planned in collaboration with you taking your study program into account.
