About the job

Are you good at creating understanding of how to apply and convey law? Do you want to collaborate with our other skilled instructors on the social work education, where the goal is to educate professionally skilled social workers? If yes - then you are the one we are looking for as a new colleague, who together with a dedicated staff group and center management will help educate future social workers.

At Professionshøjskolen Absalon it is our ambition that students experience a professionally and socially inclusive start to their studies, where they can immediately sense their upcoming profession, education and student life. They are trained in a professional approach to working in study groups, so they are best prepared for their upcoming working life.

We prioritise law, because we want to give the students the best prerequisites and knowledge for their education. Therefore we are very focused on finding teachers who are strongly grounded in law, and who have a great interest and/or experience with social work.

Your profile

We expect that you have a degree as cand.jur. or cand. soc. jur. with specialisation in formal law and concrete case processing, including administrative law. If you also have teaching experience, that is a plus.

Your positive mood spreads to your surroundings, even in busy times. You manage to keep a cool head and handle unforeseen changes, and are ready to come with a suggestion on how a given situation can be solved in the best possible way. You are good at sparring and have an open and approachable view of your workplace, your colleagues and your tasks.

You are a strong communicator, who can make complex law understandable and relevant for students with different backgrounds. As a teacher you can therefore get your messages out to all students, both orally and in writing. As a person you are patient and understanding, and you can develop, implement and arrange practice-oriented teaching.

You are development-oriented and can think unconventionally and innovatively. You translate your ideas and ambitions into modern teaching, a lively campus environment and local collaboration.

You have a flair for the digital and can use your digital skills to support the academic didactics as well as develop e-learning and technologies to strengthen the education. This development takes place in collaboration with colleagues and with support from our IT department.

Your tasks

Your primary task is to teach future social workers. The tasks will be

Develop, plan and teach on the basic education. This happens in close interaction with your skilled colleagues, the students and in collaboration with both internal and external partners and customers. In addition, it is expected that you can handle tasks on continuing and further education or handle research and development tasks.

Contribute to an active and exciting study-social environment. We emphasise that our study environments are characterized by social life and by happy and engaged students who can receive competent sparring and support, both in study groups and from their counselors. Your role as a teacher is, among other things, to actively contribute so that the students experience our study environments as lively and as more than just a place of study.

You will have employment site at Campus Roskilde, which is close to Trekroner Station. However you should expect that you will also have to teach at our other campuses when needs arise.

Your colleagues

The social worker education is offered in Nykøbing F., Roskilde and Slagelse. We are part of the Center for Social Work (CSA) consisting of about 60 employees. The education's teachers handle teaching on different semesters and modules within different themes.

We value employees who enjoy collaborating and have a respectful and informal tone in a serious work community, where we have big ambitions for the development of the education.
