Lifeguard for the women's department at East Kilbride Bath

Are you good with people, do you have a good mood and can you stay calm when it matters? Then maybe you are the one we’re looking for.

We are seeking a lifeguard for the women’s department at East Kilbride Badet in Ballerup Idrætsby. You will become part of a dedicated team with eight permanent lifeguards and a strong pool of temporary staff that prioritizes safety and service at the highest level.

Location: East Kilbride Badet, Ballerup Idrætsby 32, 2750 Ballerup

Working hours: Full-time (with 111 hours over 3 weeks)

Shifts: Fixed schedule with a rotation of morning, day and evening shifts as well as weekend shifts every 3 weeks.

Your main tasks

For us, the job is about much more than monitoring the pools. You will become an important part of guests’ experience in the swimming hall and will, among other things, work with:

• To ensure guests’ safety in and around the pools through supervision of the pools
• To create a good and welcoming atmosphere as an active host
• Service and ticket sales
• Cleaning and preparation of the facility
• supervision and cleaning in the women’s changing and shower areas
• Daily operation and development of new activities.

Your competencies

• Is reliable and responsible
• Has a strong service mindset and good humor
• Is welcoming to both children and adults
• Is flexible and can work at varying times
• Can work independently and take initiative
• Can maintain an overview in pressurized situations
• Speaks Danish.

You do not need to be a trained lifeguard in advance. If you are over 18, you can pass the professional lifeguard exam within a month - and you will of course be well supported and trained.

We are a swimming pool in development

We are among other things in the process of creating new activities at East Kilbride Badet such as saunagus and water disco for children, and we would like to be able to offer different initiatives and activities, so good ideas and initiatives are welcome. Our regular user groups include besides ordinary guests, swimming clubs, diving club, physiotherapists, schools and institutions. We have many visitors annually, which provides a dynamic and varied work environment.

Hiring process and salary

The start date is January 4, 2027.

We conduct interviews as we receive applications.

The position is initially 37 hours and is a permanent position.

Application deadline: November 15, 2026.

We offer salary and terms of employment according to the collective agreement for technical service in municipalities and according to the principles of local pay setting and in accordance with the negotiating rights of the appropriate organization.

Salary range for the position is 27,605 kr. – 39,690 kr. per month (37 hours)

Salary depends on negotiations between the supervisor and the trade union that has negotiating rights for the current collective agreement.

Salary composition depends on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
