Warehouse and Logistics Operator for the Jaeger Corps

Do you want a versatile and exciting daily routine?

About us

The Jaeger Corps is one of Denmark's two special operations forces and operates as an independent authority under the Danish Defence’s Special Operations Command.

The Jaeger Corps handles a wide range of demanding tasks for the Danish state both in Denmark and abroad. The tasks are often carried out in collaboration with other Danish and international partners, including units from NATO, the UN and other coalitions.

The staff at the Jaeger Corps are specialists and work under various conditions and in many different environments. This places demands on professionalism, flexibility and teamwork.

The Jaeger Corps is based at Aalborg Air Station, where everyday life is characterized by a high level of activity and many different tasks. There are both training and exercise activities in Denmark and abroad, as well as periods with tasks and activities outside the country.

As a member of the Jaeger Corps you will become part of a workplace with dedicated colleagues, high professional standards and opportunities to develop your skills. You will have a daily life where the tasks vary, and where collaboration, responsibility and quality are central elements.

If you are motivated by making a difference, taking responsibility and being part of a workplace with a strong sense of community, a position in the Jaeger Corps can be an exciting opportunity.

The Jaeger Corps operates under the motto

Plus Esse Quam Simultatur – More to be than to seem.

About the positions

The Supply Section is a unit with a high activity level where there is always something going on. In periods this can create busy days where quick decisions and priorities must be made. These conditions are also the ones that contribute to a special sense that all employees help make a difference - every day.

Some of the areas you will be involved in include, among others, authority stock including orders and returns, ammunition handling in the form of packing and possibly transport, as well as the preparation of various documents for different uses.

You will also have the opportunity to specialize in specific areas within the supply world, and you will - in close dialogue with the section leader - be offered participation in various courses aimed at acquiring necessary or new competencies and qualifications.

The Supply Section comprises a total of three supply officers and eight supply assistants. A good sense of community in the section - in the form of good social and professional relations, positive communication and good cooperation - is essential for the many tasks to be solved satisfactorily.

But logistics in a special operations force environment also requires traits such as initiative, flexibility, creativity, responsibility and trust, since some tasks must be solved independently by the individual supply assistant on the spot.

About you

It is desirable, but not a requirement, that you are trained as a warehouse and logistics operator. The most important thing is that you fit into the community, are service-minded, flexible and have a positive approach to tasks. We will ensure you receive education, courses and routine.

You can work independently with assigned tasks, but you are also able to join and function in different teams. You are adaptable, as work and days are rarely the same, just as tasks are not always known in advance. You are social and take care of your colleagues.

You are good at communicating with your colleagues, just as you are happy to share your experiences, qualifications, knowledge and skills with other staff when relevant.

You are ready for a dynamic daily life where the focus is on the task. You thrive with responsibility and the associated demands placed on you as an employee and a person. You are forward-thinking, good at planning, and able to collaborate across both organization and staff categories.

You can communicate in English both in writing and orally.

You have a category B driver’s license; additionally, it is desirable that you also hold a valid license for category C and E.

Employment terms

The position is also advertised militarily.

The employment is governed by the current Danish Public Sector Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector Agreement (OAO-S Public Sector Collective Agreement) and the Collective Agreement for cleaners, sanitors, skilled workers and certain vocational graduates in the state, etc. (3F).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is potential for negotiation of a supplement. The position is tied to an employer-funded pension scheme.

Your fixed place of service will be Aalborg (Aalborg Air Station).

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the period of employment.

As an employee you are obligated to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.
