About the job

Are you a mechanical engineering student, and do you dream of translating theory into practice at one of Denmark's largest and most advanced waste-to-energy- and biomass-fired power and heating plants? At Kredsløb in Lisbjerg you get the opportunity to work with maintenance, operation and optimization of a complex energy plant that every day supplies electricity and district heating to thousands of Aarhusians. At the same time you become part of the green transition and gain experience you can build on for the rest of your career.

Join the team

At Energipark Lisbjerg we operate one of the country's most modern energy plants. Here we produce electricity and district heating using waste and biomass and contribute to a more sustainable energy supply.

As an intern you will be part of a strong team of skilled professionals who every day work to keep the plant safe, stable and efficient. You will not stand on the sidelines. You will be an active part of everyday life and get responsibility, sparring and lots of practical experience.

An internship with breadth and development

We offer a 9-month workshop internship, where you get the opportunity to develop within several disciplines.

During the internship period you will be attached to

  • Welding department
  • Electrical department
  • Maintenance coordinators
  • Operations organization

You will work with, among other things

  • Valves and piping systems
  • Gears, pumps and motors
  • Mechanical and electrical installations
  • Troubleshooting and repairs
  • Preventive maintenance and assembly tasks

As part of the programme you will also have a period in the control room, where you follow our operations operators and gain insight into monitoring and controlling the plant. Here you will experience how production is planned, controlled and optimized around the clock.

This gives you a unique understanding of the interaction between operation, maintenance, technology and safety, which is an important part of the mechanical engineering role.

Motivated intern with a desire for new challenges

We are looking for you who

  • Are a mechanical engineering student and have completed the workshop school
  • Have an interest in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Enjoy working practically and solving technical challenges
  • Are curious, engaged and ready to learn new things
  • Are reliable, responsible and collaborative
  • Meet colleagues and tasks with energy and a good mood
