Maternity leave substitute sought for club activities in Stavtrup - UngiAarhus

About the Job

We are seeking a maternity-leave replacement for a 30-hour position in the after-school club and youth club Stauern. The club is part of UngiAarhus Vest, where, together with the other clubs, we work on developing our pedagogical practice and on creating and developing a meaningful direction for the lives of children and young people.

The club is looking for an engaged and independent pedagogue who can strengthen the professional development in the two departments. We are interested in both an experienced and a newly graduated employee.

The after-school club with 268 members and the youth club with 126 members share premises with Højvangskolen.

Most of our members come from Højvangskolen and Aarhus Friskole. The bus line 11 goes right to the door.

The club collaborates closely with all relevant actors such as the school, street-level workers, parents, the family center, etc.

• Planning and execution of pedagogical activities for the members, especially creative activities
• A key person in children and youth leisure life through relationship building
• Involvement of members to be active participants in their leisure time
• Contributing positively to the professional discussions in the club
• Collection and processing of data to strengthen the strong learning community in the club
• Being part of UngiAarhus across clubs and with other actors and partners

• You are creatively inclined
• You are flexible and will work afternoons and evenings in the after-school club 1 evening per week.

• You can work with member influence and inclusion and grasp the ideas of children and young people.
• You can handle freedom with responsibility and have an overview of your own and shared tasks.
• In childcare time you have a targeted focus on the core task in relation to the individual member and the group’s well-being, learning and development.

Salary and terms of employment

We offer a temporary position as a club pedagogue, 30 hours/week. Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the current agreement with BUPL.

Start date: January 1, 2027. The position is expected to last 1 year.

About UngiAarhus

UngiAarhus is a city-wide organization responsible for leisure clubs, youth clubs, the youth school and the pedagogically led playgrounds in the Municipality of Aarhus. We also collaborate with schools on the formation and education of the youth. Our target group is children and young people from fourth grade to 18 years old (21 years for young people with special needs).
