Mechanical designer – R&D

For mechanical design and construction of automated factory equipment for the wet food industry at Scanvaegt Systems A/S in Aarhus N.

Scanvaegt Systems A/S is a modern, well-established, 100% Danish-owned company with around 200 employees and divisions in several European countries. We develop, produce and market innovative, industrial weighing technology solutions, including for the wet food industry, where characteristics such as productivity, operational reliability and hygiene are top priorities.

We are seeking a mechanical designer for our development department, where you will play a central role in the development of our machines and solutions.

You are probably educated as a mechanical engineer or have other relevant education; mechanical technician/technologist, Master in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

The department currently consists of 18 highly qualified colleagues distributed across teams within automation/electrical hardware, software and mechanical development. We form the technical backbone of the company and are characterized by competent engagement, collaboration and not least a very good sense of humor. We are housed in Scanvaegt's headquarters in Aarhus N at a convenient distance from both the city and the motorway network.

Responsibilities

You will typically work with

• mechanical development and design; primarily for our standard product program within automated factory equipment
• ad-hoc participation in customer-specific projects in collaboration with sales and PMO
• documentation related to your area of work; drawings, bills of materials, manuals, mv.
• general mechanical input and analysis both internally in the department and across the company.

Your profile

We think that you

• are a skilled and creative designer with a good eye for design
• have previously worked in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD
• can work both independently and in a team-based environment
• are positive, structured and systematic
• are fully proficient in Danish and English both spoken and written

As a bonus you may even have

• experience with stainless steel materials and/or with a focus on hygiene
• an instinct for leadership and, in time, a desire to take on the responsibility as team manager.
