About the job

Do you want a job where you work with people, finances and public authority tasks, and where you contribute to creating value for both citizens and the municipality every day?

In the City of Frederiksberg we are seeking 1-2 new colleagues for the Collections. We are looking for someone who thrives with responsibility, can create an overview in complex cases and at the same time wants to provide good service to citizens, businesses and partners.

You don’t need to know all the rules in the area. The most important is that you are curious, quick to learn and eager to develop in a position with high professional standards and a lot of variation.

Who are we?

Collections is part of Finance and Procurement.

We are responsible for ensuring that the municipality's receivables are handled correctly and promptly. At the same time we assist citizens, businesses and colleagues with guidance and case processing in an area where rules and processes often require both care and sound judgment.

With us you will have engaged colleagues, a strong professional community and a daily life characterized by collaboration, humor and helpfulness.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for your own case portfolio and will work with many different types of tasks.

You will among other things

  • handle and follow up on cases within the municipality's debtor area
  • advise citizens, businesses and partners both by telephone and in writing
  • ensure that cases are processed correctly and in accordance with applicable rules
  • make decisions and prepare written responses
  • handle inquiries from authorities and other partners, including communicating with the Danish Debt Collection Agency (Gældsstyrelsen)
  • contribute to the development and improvement of our workflows.

The tasks span a wide range and provide opportunities for both professional deepening and ongoing learning.

We imagine that you

  • have a flair for administration and case processing
  • can work in a structured way and maintain an overview
  • have an interest in numbers and financial contexts
  • communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • take responsibility and follow tasks through to completion
  • contribute positively to collaboration with colleagues and partners.

It is an advantage if you

  • have experience from an administrative or public position
  • have worked with case processing or finance-related tasks
  • have experience with financial or ERP systems, e.g. Prisme 365, KMD Opus or similar.

Reasons to choose us

We offer

  • a thorough introduction and onboarding
  • exciting and varied tasks
  • opportunity for professional development and skills building
  • flexible working conditions
  • a strong collegial community where we meet each other with respect, trust and helpfulness
  • a workplace focused on collaboration, well-being and quality.

With us you will have the opportunity to develop in an area where professionalism, responsibility and societal importance go hand in hand.

Salary and terms of employment

We hire the candidate who is overall best qualified for the position based on experience, competences, motivation and personal prerequisites for success in the job.

The positions are full-time.

Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with applicable collective agreement and the principles of local pay formation.

In accordance with the rules on pay transparency, relevant information about pay will be provided as part of the recruitment process.

Application deadline

Send your application and CV no later than November 12, 2026.

We expect to conduct interviews in week 47 and hope to welcome our new colleagues on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Head of Collections Frida Gísladóttir on telephone 28 98 24 40.
