About the job

Come and become part of a strong midwifery community where professional expertise, influence and well-being go hand in hand.

At the maternity ward in Hillerød we help about 4,200 families well on their way through pregnancy, birth and parental leave each year. With our size we can combine presence, coherent pathways and time for the individual family with a strong professional community and great professional breadth.

With us you have the opportunity to develop your competencies while being on an exciting journey as we move together towards the New North Zealand Hospital.

We now seek 4 permanent positions of 25-37 hours per week with employment starting 1 February 2027, or by agreement.

We offer

A varied working day close to the families

The maternity ward is the department's axis, but you have the opportunity to combine the work with other functions, so you get natural variation and development in your work life.

You can among other things work with

  • Acute and admitted pregnant patients
  • Induction processes
  • Maternity ward, where the midwives plan and organize the birth journey from the first meeting
  • Home visits after ambulatory births and home births
  • Parental leave midwife function with post-birth consultations and postnatal talks
  • The regional home birth scheme
  • Sectio team in close interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors and nurses
  • Midwife consultations on four sites in the catchment area.

Professionalism is our common foundation

With us professionalism is something we create together. We prioritise professional development highly and work closely across professional groups to ensure the best possible pathways for families. You become part of a committed and multidisciplinary community where knowledge sharing, sparring and learning are a natural part of everyday life.

Flexibility and influence on your work life

We know that a good work life looks different from person to person. Therefore we work targeted to create flexible frameworks and give you great influence on planning your work life.

With us you get

  • Great influence on your own shift pattern
  • Possibility to work every 3rd weekend
  • Choice between 8- and 12-hour shifts on weekdays and weekends
  • An engaged duty planning team that helps to create balance between work and private life.

We are proud to be a workplace where professionalism and community unite in everyday life. Our midwives, social and health care assistants and doctors work very closely together and we therefore place great emphasis on strong collegial relations, both in work and in social life through our staff association.

Help shape the maternity department of the future

In 2027 we move into the New North Zealand Hospital. This means you get a unique opportunity to become part of the development of the maternity department of the future and contribute with your experience and ideas in an exciting change process.

We are looking for you who

  • Have Nordic authorization as a midwife
  • Thrive in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Want both professional development and collegial community
  • Contribute actively to a good working environment.
