Create safety and calm at night – we are seeking a SSA or SSH for night shifts at Fanefjord Nursing Center.

28 hours per week | Fixed rotation with 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 days off | 23:00–07:00 | Askeby on Møn

Do you thrive working at night, and are you motivated to create safety, presence and good conditions for our residents – even when the rest of the house is sleeping?

At Fanefjord Nursing Center we are looking for a trained Social and Health Care Assistant or Social and Health Helper who wants to become part of our night shift team and help ensure that our residents have a safe and caring night.

At night there is often more calm, but the tasks still require high professional competence, attention and the ability to act appropriately when needs arise. For us, good care also means being able to observe changes in residents' condition, make professional assessments within our own competencies, and ensure that action is taken when needed.

We emphasize that our residents are met with respect, care and dignity – around the clock.

About the position

The position is 28 hours per week with a fixed rotation, where you work 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 days off .

• Working hours: 23:00–07:00.
• Rotation working hours: 56 hours spread over 14 days.
• You work together with another night shift colleague, so there are two staff on duty at night.

The fixed rotation gives you the opportunity to plan your leisure time and accumulate your days off in longer, continuous periods.

As a night shift you play an important role in ensuring residents' well-being, sleep, care and safety through the night. You must be able to work independently, prioritise tasks and maintain an overview when situations arise that require professional assessment and action.

At the same time, collaboration with your night shift colleague and the other shifts is important. We must ensure good handovers, relevant observations and coherence in residents' care – from day to evening and night.

Fanefjord Nursing Center is located in Askeby on Møn, only about 15 minutes from the highway. We have 36 fixed care apartments and 3 temporary places. You will become part of a dedicated community with both qualified and non-qualified staff who every day work to create quality of life, dignity and good everyday life for our residents.

• Is trained as a Social and Health Care Assistant or Social and Health Helper.
• Thrive working at night and see the value in creating calm and safety for residents.
• Can work independently, take responsibility and prioritise your tasks.
• Have a professional mindset and are attentive to changes in residents' physical and psychological state.
• Can act appropriately within your own competencies and know when to seek help or professional sparring.
• Maintain an overview and act calmly and professionally, even when something unexpected occurs.
• Contribute actively to good collaboration with your night shift colleague and the other shifts.
• Meet residents, relatives and colleagues with respect, care and recognition.
