Nature Bus Driver / Technical Service Assistant Wanted for a Four-Wheel Adventure

Do you have a bus driving license, a good mood and a desire to make a difference for children every single day?

At Natur- og Teknikteamet we are looking for a new colleague who wants to help create great experiences for little people. We are looking for a nature bus driver who can both drive the bus safely through traffic and who wants to be an active part of the children's day when the wheels are turning.

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026.

More than "just" a driver

When you drive the nature bus for Vejle Municipality's early years services, you are not only the person behind the wheel. You become one of the adults the children meet on their way out into the forest, to the beach, on a nature exploration, or on the day’s big adventure.

You help create safety, curiosity and good experiences. Some days you help find a frog in the pond, other days you collect branches for a hut or help with the food around the campfire. And of course you ensure that everyone gets there safely and back home again.

• Have a valid D driver's license and the necessary driver certificates.

A daily life with variety

You start the day at Horsensvej 45F, where the nature bus is ready. You ensure the bus is safe and ready for the day’s trip, pick up children and staff and drive them to the day’s destination.

When the trip is underway, you participate as a natural part of the community around the children. And when the nature buses are not in operation, you help the rest of the team with practical service tasks around the municipality's day-care centers. No day is the same, and that is part of what we love.

Who are we?

Nature and Technical Team is part of the early years area in Vejle Municipality. We are a small team with great commitment, consisting of nature bus drivers, technical service staff, playground inspector and daily manager. Together we help day-care centers with everything from nature experiences and transport to maintenance and practical service.

We are proud of what we do, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. There is room for laughter, helpfulness and good colleagues who back each other up.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is made according to the collective agreement for technical service, §4-6 on wage determination. The expected starting salary for full-time and excluding pension is 26,336 DKK / lies in the range 26,336 - 29,987 DKK depending on seniority. It should be noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.

We collect child certificate and public criminal record with consent.
