Are you passionate about your studies, and do you love sharing knowledge? Do you want to be part of AAU’s corps of student communicators in Aalborg, who run workshops and meet high school students - on campus or at the upper secondary schools?

Salary and employment terms

You will be hired and paid according to the circular on agreements for student instructors at universities and similar institutions. The employment is contingent upon you being a student.

Application

This is not a typical student job, and therefore the number of hours is highly variable. It is not possible to set a fixed number of hours per month, as it depends on the amount of tasks and visits. Some months there will be more work than others. It is therefore necessary that you view the student ambassador job as an extra student job, not as a fixed monthly income.

You will be hired and paid as a Student Study Counselor (SUL). The hourly wage is 224.07 DKK plus 12.5% holiday pay.

Hiring and compensation

We are looking for students who

• Study at AAU in Aalborg and have at least 1 1/2 years left of their education
• Are academically strong
• Are responsible, independent and good at collaborating
• Love communicating and teaching others
• Speak and can teach in Danish
• Are open to challenges, flexible, adaptable (for events you must be able to adapt to the situations that arise) and ready to dive into new and unknown situations.

As part of your employment you will be trained in how to be a good communicator, so you are well prepared for the task. We hold about two professional events a year, where you get the opportunity to brainstorm with other ambassadors across AAU.

• Guided tour during visits by high school classes to the institute where you are enrolled
• Holding workshops and/or talks related to the study you are pursuing
• Giving talks about PBL and student life at AAU
• We will continuously offer tasks related to events such as Open House, Study Praktik, etc., and other cross-cutting events where the target group is potential students
• You will become a representative for AAU and for your study.
