Night shift SSH/SSA

Plejecenter Østermarken is seeking an employee who possesses a large amount of empathy, professional care and humor. Here, two days are not the same, which among other things gives you the opportunity to help shape the day on the residents' terms and contribute to increasing their quality of life.

Do you want to make a difference at night, when the calm settles? We are looking for an engaged Social and Health Care Helper or Social and Health Care Assistant who would like to work at night at Plejecenter Østermarken.

The position is initially 30 hours per week with work every other weekend. Our night shift workers work seven days and subsequently have seven days off. The work week begins on Wednesday.

Your primary assignment will be our somatic departments, but you must also be able to cover in our dementia ward. In addition, there may be occasional evening shifts to a lesser extent.

Your tasks As a night shift you will be an important part of the care home’s overall effort and help create a safe and calm night for our residents. You will among other things:

• carry out care and nursing tasks for the residents
• create calm, structure and security during the night hours
• observe changes in residents' condition and act in a professionally relevant manner
• document and relay relevant observations
• work closely with the house's other night shift across departments
• be able to cover in our dementia ward
• contribute to a positive, respectful and professional work environment.

You work independently in your department, but are also in close collaboration with the house's other night shift.

Your profile We expect that you

• are trained as a Social and Health Care Helper or Social and Health Care Assistant
• have experience with – or interest in – both the somatic area and the dementia area
• can work independently and maintain an overview
• are professionally responsible, stable and decisive
• are adaptable and flexible
• are a team player who contributes to a positive working environment where differences are viewed as a strength
• are inclusive, empathetic and present
• have an appreciative approach to residents, relatives and colleagues
• have a positive outlook on life and preferably humor
• are prepared for that, on occasion, there may be a few evening shifts.

About Plejecenter Østermarken Plejecenter Østermarken is located in Aars and consists of six living and dwelling environments, of which four are somatic and two are specially designed for residents with dementia.

As a night shift you will join a close collaboration with the house's other night shift. Together you ensure a stable, professional and caring effort for our residents throughout the night.
