Your duties include

  • Supervision and support of colleagues in clinical tasks to ensure adherence to professional standards
  • Handling of acute nursing situations and changes in the resident’s health status
  • Holistic care with particular attention to residents with complex or acute issues.

Competence development

  • Teaching, guidance, and citizen-centered follow-up of nursing home staff
  • Participation in the development and implementation of internal training programs
  • Dissemination and implementation of new professional knowledge and research in practice
  • Systematic handover of nursing tasks and ensuring proper training of colleagues.

Mono- and cross-disciplinary collaboration

  • Close collaboration with doctors, therapists, social and health assistants and aides, and other professional groups
  • Professional sparring and coordination of care plans in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Active participation in networking meetings for nursing home nurses
  • Support for constructive professional dialogues at the nursing home.

Citizen-centered approach and quality improvements

  • Individual tailoring of care based on the resident’s needs and wishes
  • Active participation in developing and implementing quality-improving initiatives
  • Monitoring residents’ well-being and health as well as contributing to decisions that increase quality of life
  • Systematic triage, participation in move-in conversations and resident conferences
  • Role model in professionalism, communication, and behavior.

Collaboration with family and friends

  • Creating trustful relationships with residents’ families and friends
  • Advice and guidance for relatives on care and decisions regarding the resident’s well-being
  • Ensuring open and safe communication between the nursing home and the resident’s relatives
  • Contributing to a welcoming and safe environment for both residents and their networks.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a trained nurse with experience in elder care or a similar field
  • Works independently but thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Has strong communication skills and an appreciative approach to residents, relatives, and colleagues
  • Is passionate about quality development and staff competence development
  • Is adaptable and able to handle complex and acute nursing situations.

We offer

  • An exciting and developing position in a professionally strong environment
  • Opportunity to work with citizen-centered nursing and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ongoing competence development and professional sparring
  • A workplace where we value a good working environment and a strong collegial community.
