About the job

Women's health calls for skilled nurses - is that you? Women's health is topical, and the need for specialized care, treatment and guidance has never been more evident. Do you want to help make a noticeable difference for women living with diseases and complaints that have a great impact on their daily life, quality of life and identity? With us you have the opportunity to combine high professional standards with attentive nursing in meeting women who need both your clinical expertise and your human understanding.

We can offer a permanent full-time position as of January 1, 2027 or by agreement. The position is split between the Pelvic Floor Disorders Clinic and the Department of Gynecology with particular focus on women with urogynecological problems and vulval conditions.

Who are we, and what can we offer?

At the Department and Clinic for Gynecological Diseases we treat women with benign and oncological gynecological disorders according to a high professional standard. Thus you will experience that we cover both short-term and long-term nursing care, where surgery plays a large part.

About the department

Klinik for Bækkenbundslidelser

Klinik for Bækkenbundslidelser is a specialized unit with collaboration across Urinary Tract Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Physiotherapy, Pediatric Neurology and Gynecology. In our part of the clinic we handle diagnostics and treatment at both highly specialized and regional function levels within urogynecology and vulval conditions, including urinary problems, pelvic prolapse, skin diseases and pain conditions in the lower abdomen. As a nurse in the Pelvic Floor Disorders Clinic you have a central role in supporting women throughout their entire pathway.

The work in the clinic includes among other things

  • interdisciplinary consultations
  • preparation of patients for surgery and follow-up after surgeries
  • independent nursing consultations
  • patient education
  • guiding and advisory nursing care.

We work cross-professionally with doctors, medical secretaries and physiotherapists - and focus on developing nursing, among other things through digital solutions in both the pre- and postoperative pathways. We are furthermore a department where development and research is at the forefront, and we are therefore open to your ideas, knowledge and experience. Therefore we would like you to have an area of interest that we can support.

For example, if you are particularly passionate about documentation, patient education, pain management, health technology, hygiene or perhaps something entirely different? We would love to hear about it, because we want to support the development of your competencies and special talents, so as to optimize our nursing.

Afsnit for Kvindesygdomme

We treat women with both benign and oncological gynecological disorders and we work purposefully to develop surgical nursing according to ERAS principles, with a focus on documentation, patient safety and continuous development of our practice. As a nurse with us you work both in a bed ward with 16 beds and in the clinic, which gives the opportunity to follow patient pathways from assessment to discharge. We are an engaged and mixed staff group of all ages, with a strong sense of cohesion and a well-functioning learning environment, where both students and new colleagues receive good support and sparring.

As a new nurse, we offer a thorough orientation program, where you primarily will have day shifts the first month, and where you, as far as possible, will be paired with an experienced nurse. Our designated responsible nurse for orientation will, in collaboration with other professions, plan teaching programs so you come well into the different subspecialties from the start and you will receive a thorough introduction to the Pelvic Floor Disorders Clinic.

It is important for us to emphasize that our staff take pride in looking after each other, and there is always a helping hand to be found. You will not be left alone with tasks you are not ready for. We are a staff group across all ages, which provides a good dynamic and sparring. We have a good and well-functioning learning environment and we all contribute to both new colleagues and students learning as much as possible with us.

We have rotating shifts and work every 3rd weekend (eight-hour shifts). We strive for two-shift rosters with day/evening or day/night if you prefer this, rather than all three shift types. We can also offer completely holiday-free every 2nd Christmas and every 2nd Easter.

Who are you?

  • you are a nurse with a strong clinical curiosity and a great interest in learning about gynecology and especially urogynecology and vulval conditions
  • you want to contribute to developing nursing, e.g. by upskilling your own competencies and eventually taking continence training
  • you appreciate working with both chronic, acute and complex patients
  • you are willing to work both in the ward and in the clinic
  • you understand how to plan and prioritize in a varied daily life, where tasks and workload can vary from day to day
  • you are sociable and want to join a staff group that places high value on the work environment, collaboration, camaraderie and humor
  • you want to work in rotating shifts and approx. every 3rd weekend

Become part of a professionally strong community

With us you have the opportunity to develop professionally and personally in an environment where we look after each other, share knowledge and work together to create the best pathways for our patients.
