About the job
Do you want to help set the direction for the future of nursing – and make a difference that is felt?
At Othello Nursing Home you will have the opportunity to take responsibility, use your professional knowledge and help create even better care and support for our residents. We will strengthen preventive measures, create coherence in the residents' progress and develop nursing in close collaboration with colleagues.
We are looking for you who want to participate in development, share your knowledge and make a difference in the daily life of the residents. You can be experienced or newly qualified – the most important is that you are eager to contribute, learn and develop together with us.
With us there is room for both the experienced nurse who wants to put their knowledge to use and the newly qualified who wants a secure start to their working life. The most important thing is that you are curious about the profession, committed to people and want to make a difference – together with others.
With us your professionalism has room
As a nurse at Othello you will have an important role in ensuring coherence and quality in residents' pathways. You will have primary assignment to a ward, where you will work closely with the rest of the health care staff. You will get close to the residents and their life stories, while you contribute to developing health-related practice and strengthening your colleagues' competencies.
We believe that high professional quality is created through trust, dialogue, reflection and close collaboration. Therefore you do not have to face the professional challenges alone. We prioritize sparring, shared learning and a work environment where there is room to ask questions, share experiences and find good solutions together.
We work from a shared desire that the residents experience a daily life that takes their wishes, values and needs as a starting point – and where professionalism and humanity go hand in hand.
Your tasks and opportunities
As a nurse at Othello you will become part of a multidisciplinary community where we together take responsibility for residents' health, well-being and quality of life.
Your tasks will include among others
- Ensure quality in nursing through professional assessments, observations, follow-up and coordination of residents' pathways.
- Create coherence in everyday life by participating in morning rounds and triage meetings, where we together follow up on residents' condition and needs.
- Be close to the residents and participate in the care, so you maintain a feel for daily life and the people your professionalism makes a difference for.
- Strengthen professional development by sharing your knowledge, creating space for reflection and supporting colleagues' competencies, among other things through competency forms.
- Contribute to learning and development through professional sparring and guidance of staff and other professional groups.
- Ensure good documentation and contribute to having a common, up-to-date basis for care, treatment and follow-up.
- Collaborate with residents and relatives with respect for each individual's life story, wishes and needs.
You will have the opportunity to put your skills to use and help develop workflows and professional practice. We expect you to take responsibility and actively contribute – and we will ensure you receive the introduction and professional sparring you need.
Who are you?
We imagine that you
- Are a qualified nurse with Danish authorization.
- Either have solid clinical experience or are newly qualified and ready to develop. Experience in elderly care is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Have a professional commitment and a desire to contribute to high-quality care.
- Can observe, assess and act on changes in residents' health status – and seek sparring when the situation requires it.
- Work in a structured way and have an eye for both documentation, follow-up and coherence in residents' pathways.
- Meet residents, relatives and colleagues with respect, curiosity, clarity and patience.
- Have a desire to share your knowledge, guide colleagues and contribute to a learning professional environment.
- Can work independently and make decisions, while thriving in a close and committed team collaboration.
- Maintain an overview and be able to prioritize in a daily life where tasks and needs can change.
You do not need to be able to do everything from day one. We place emphasis on your professionalism, your approach to people and your desire to learn and develop with us.
What you get with us
We want you to thrive in your work and experience professional development. Therefore we offer:
- A meaningful nursing role , where you can help shape the quality and development of nursing.
- A strong professional community with nurses across Othello's five floors and joint nursing meetings where we share knowledge and experiences.
- Professional sparring and competence development with opportunities for relevant courses and further education.
- A thorough, individually tailored introduction so you get a good start and are equipped for the tasks.
- An workplace focused on well-being and collaboration , where trust, respect and dialogue are foundational values.
- A present and engaged leadership that prioritizes openness, work environment and good conditions for solving tasks.
We believe we succeed best when we use each other’s competencies, help one another and have the courage to be curious about our own practice.
