Nurse sought for Ophthalmology Clinic, AUH

Do you want to help make a difference for eye patients in a highly specialized environment? We are seeking dedicated nurses for permanent full-time positions at 37 hours per week – with start date January 1, 2027.

About the position

You will take on an independent role, working with both elective and acute eye patients. Experience in ophthalmology is advantageous but not required.

Clinic nurse

With ties to two subspecialties in the clinic, including treatment with eye injections in the AMD clinic – at least two days per week.

We offer a thorough introductory program with a competence card and buddy training, so you can confidently develop and become more autonomous in the specialty.

Working hours

The daily working hours are predominantly from 07:30 to 15:00 on weekdays. There may be weekday and weekend shifts, including on-call shifts from home. In that case, after completing training, you will on average have about one evening shift every 2 weeks and a weekend shift every 12 weeks.

About the department

The department consists of subspecialized clinics and an operating theatre with six operating rooms. The clinics handle about 70,000 patient contacts per year, and the operating theatre performs about 18,000 operations. Ophthalmology is a highly specialized department with a regional function and receives patients from across the country. We are 68 nurses with a mix of experience and age groups.
