We are looking for 4 committed nurses for permanent full-time positions from 1/1-2027 or as agreed in the Day Surgical Receiving Unit OLAV and the Operating Department at the Orthopedic Surgery Department O, OUH. The start is arranged so that 2 begin in OLAV and 2 in the central operating corridor.

The positions offer you an exciting combination of tasks, where you both receive patients in OLAV and are trained in the surgical specialty. After completing training in the surgical specialty through our day surgery program, the position broadens to tasks in our central operating corridor with the possibility of being attached to more complex operation types.

OLAV is one of ten teams in the Orthopedic Surgery Operating Corridor. We receive both children and adults for same-day surgical procedures and collaborate across several specialties:

• Orthopedic Surgery
• Urology
• Abdominal Surgery
• Anesthesiology

What will you be working with?

You will be a central part of the patient’s surgical pathway and have the opportunity to work with everything from reception and preparation to observation, recovery and discharge. At the same time you will have the opportunity to develop your competencies and be trained in the surgical specialty.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Reception and preparation of patients for surgery
• Nursing and coordination around the surgical patient pathway
• Observation and care after surgery
• Recovery of day-surgery patients
• Discharge and guidance for patients and relatives
• Interdisciplinary collaboration on safe and coherent patient pathways
• Training and competence development within the surgical specialty, first at the day-surgical procedures and then in our central OP corridor for more complex cases, including participation in on-call duties.

Salary and employment terms

Remuneration is according to the applicable collective agreement between the professional organization and Region of Southern Denmark.

If you are not already employed in the Region of Southern Denmark, there is a 3-month probation period.

We expect interviews during week 47.
