Nursery Ny Vimmerby in Midtbyen's Daycare Services is seeking a qualified pedagogue for a permanent position, initially 37 hours per week

From January 1, 2027 we are seeking a pedagogue as a starting point for 37 hours.

We hope you have the desire and possibility to arrange a visit with us before deciding whether you can see yourself as part of our team.

In the nursery (vuggestue) the staff have different competencies. We are 27 staff. Half are pedagogues, several trained in recent years. One paid student from the pedagogy program at VIA and the others are pedagogue assistants with various backgrounds to be part of the pedagogical environment in the nursery.

We are a nursery with 6 groups. We have thought small in the big, understood as we are divided into 3 teams. This means that the individual employee does not constantly have to deal with an entire large house, but can focus on their own team. Nevertheless we expect our new colleague to be able to create an overview, to thrive with many colleagues and to be a co-creator of a warm and welcoming work climate that binds the whole house together.

We have 13 children in all groups and have thereby ensured resources to hire a couple of extra staff so that we almost avoid using on-call substitute staff. We also have a fixed flying position.

Your profile

You are a trained pedagogue . It is very welcome if you have experience with the age group , but the most important requirement is that you find great job satisfaction and inspiration in working with infants in daycare and that you dare to use yourself based on solid professional knowledge in relation to the pedagogical work with the children and in relation to cooperation with colleagues in a learning community.

You, like the rest of the staff group, have a strong desire to participate in developing the good nursery life for all children.

We see it as an advantage if you have experience with parental cooperation and have the courage to create security during the family's start in the nursery.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination is made after negotiation with the negotiating union based on qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-agreement which can form the basis for the salary determination

Weekly hours: 37

About us

Nursery Ny Vimmerby has the address Falstersgade 17, where 78 nursery children and 27 staff have their daily life. We have good conditions, especially we are very happy with our unique outdoor areas.

In our pedagogical value base we place particular emphasis on presence, care, respect. We focus on creating good learning environments for children both outdoors and indoors and being in dialogue with each other about that something is better than something else. We practice being curious about each other’s practice and developing the joint practice with good learning environments where there are participation opportunities for all children. In the near future we will focus on play in all of Midtbyen's Daycare.

But first and foremost we are a group of professionals who in collaboration with a resourceful parent group focus on the good childhood.
