About the job

Would you like to use your professional expertise close to the citizen? And would you like to be involved from the start when a new department is being formed? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for. We are seeking 4 engaged and professionally strong nurses for the new health and care placements in Bramming and Esbjerg.

Here you get a unique opportunity to help shape the future citizen-centred nursing care.

Who are we?

As a result of the Health Reform, from 1 January 2027 the regions will take responsibility for the health and care placements. At Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospitals the new clinical department Citizen-Centered Health is under construction. The aim is to create a more local, cohesive and equal health system, where citizens experience continuity in their care, and where the right competencies are available at the right time.

Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospitals are therefore establishing 10 placements in Bramming and 30 placements in Esbjerg. Here nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and occupational therapists as well as social and health assistants will work closely together.

A job where your nursing makes a difference In the health and care placements you will meet citizens who may have complex somatic and medical issues and multiple simultaneous diseases. Your clinical assessment, professionalism and ability to see the whole person will therefore be decisive.

You can read more about health and care placements in the Quality Standard from the Danish Health Authority.

We are looking for you who…

  • have clinical experience and a desire to work with citizens from different specialties
  • have strong clinical and analytical competencies
  • can work independently and make decisions
  • are an engaged team player and contribute to the community
  • can create trust and security for citizens and their relatives
  • thrive with interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration
  • are curious about new ways of working
  • understand that a good working environment is created together.

You do not need to know it all. The most important is the desire, professionalism and engagement to be part of it.

Your tasks As a nurse you will be a central part of the citizen’s care pathway. You will among other things:

  • provide holistic nursing
  • observe, assess, treat and follow up on the citizen’s condition
  • identify changes in the citizen’s health and act on them
  • work closely with doctors, social- and health assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, relatives and municipal partners.
  • create coherence in the citizen’s trajectory – and ensure the good transition for the citizen whether the citizen is on the way to or from the health and care placement.
  • contribute to development and implementation of new workflows.

We ensure you are not left alone

We know that starting something new takes effort. Therefore we offer

  • Thorough onboarding program and introduction to tasks and workflows
  • Ongoing competency development and good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • Influence on workflows, culture and the development of the new department
  • A strong interdisciplinary community
  • Focus on the working environment, dialogue and involvement
  • A workplace with meaning, where you help create better and more coherent citizen pathways.
  • Some skilled colleagues who are passionate about making a difference in citizens’ lives.

A daily life with variation and shared responsibility The health and care placements are staffed around the clock, and as a nurse you will be part of a team that together ensures high professional quality every day of the week.

The position involves working in rotating shifts as a starting point and every third weekend. Shift planning focuses on operations, professional continuity and balance between work life and private life. We emphasize dialogue and employee involvement in planning working hours and aim to create flexible solutions that support both the individual employee and the community.
