About the job

Do you want a varied and meaningful daily life, where you make a difference for the island's residents and tourists? – and do you dream of a working life in close collaboration with skilled colleagues?

In the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy at Bornholm Hospital we are seeking an occupational therapist for a temporary position of 37 hours per week, from January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter – until July 1, 2027 with the possibility of extension.

About us

Bornholm Hospital is an acute hospital in Region H for the island's approximately 40,000 inhabitants as well as the 600,000 tourists who visit the island each year.

In the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy you will find a strong, multidisciplinary team consisting of about 20 staff, of whom 5 are occupational therapists. In addition to occupational therapists, our department also includes physiotherapists, a secretary, a porter and a therapy assistant.

We are known for being accommodating, helpful, as well as for having a high professional level, good collegiality and a positive atmosphere. We place a high emphasis on competence development with the aim of offering training and treatment of high quality.

Your tasks

You will have a broad contact area where you will perform assessment and rehabilitation within the neurological, medical and surgical specialties, both at body, activity and participation levels. You will also undertake outpatient tasks, primarily related to the surgical specialty, which you will be gradually introduced to.

We can offer

  • An exciting, challenging and varied everyday life where you will gain broad knowledge across many different patient categories and specialties.
  • Thorough introduction as well as engaged and helpful colleagues with a high professional level.
  • Ongoing professional development and collegial sparring, where there is also an opportunity to specialize.

About you

  • You are a trained occupational therapist and are motivated to work in a smaller acute hospital where collaboration pathways are short.
  • You meet patients, relatives and multidisciplinary collaborators with an engaged, respectful and welcoming approach.
  • You have the ability and desire to engage in close multidisciplinary collaboration with a focus on creating cohesive patient pathways with high professional quality for the benefit of the patients.

We place emphasis on

  • That you are keen to join a dynamic team where responsibility, professionalism, engagement and a positive attitude are key words.
  • That you are flexible regarding the handling of the overall occupational therapy tasks.

Employment terms

Working hours mainly in the period Monday to Thursday 08:00-15:30, Friday 08:00-15:00. In addition there will be shifts on Saturdays about every 4 weeks (08:00-13:15).

Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement for non-management occupational therapists, physiotherapists and midwives.

Authorized health personnel with patient contact who do not have a Danish education must, when employed in the Capital Region, meet the language proficiency requirement* in Danish in another way.

The hospital is a smoke-free workplace.

Application deadline

Applications must be received no later than Monday 9 November 2026.
