About the job

Do you want to create more independence in citizens' daily lives? Become an occupational therapist in Local Team Lerbæk Torv

Are you passionate about translating your occupational therapy expertise into solutions that can be felt in citizens' daily lives? With us you will have the opportunity to work closely with citizens, put your ideas into play and become an important part of a strong multidisciplinary community.

In Køge Municipality's Sick and Home Care, we help citizens maintain an active, meaningful and independent life for as long as possible. As an occupational therapist you will become a central part of this effort. You will have a varied workday with professional responsibility, freedom to plan and close cooperation with both citizens, relatives and colleagues.

You meet the citizens where daily life is lived, and together you find solutions that strengthen their possibilities, quality of life and participation in everyday activities.

A daily life with professionalism, relations and visible results

In Local Team Lerbæk Torv you will be a key person in a self-governing, multidisciplinary team. Together with your colleagues you create coherent pathways where the citizen's goals and what gives meaning to daily life set the direction.

You will, among other things, be responsible for

  • ADL assessments and rehabilitative interventions in the citizen's own home
  • Dysphagia assessments, training and guidance
  • Planning, initiation and follow-up on rehabilitation processes
  • Training under the Health Act as well as the Elderly Act and the Social Services Act
  • Citizen involvement, motivation and goal-setting work
  • Testing and adaptation of temporary assistive devices
  • Interdisciplinary sparring and participation in relevant meetings
  • Participation in professional networks with other therapists in the municipality
  • Side-by-side mentoring to colleagues and support of the rehabilitative approach in the team

You will work closely with the local team's physiotherapist and will have a special role in strengthening the rehabilitative effort. Through citizen contact, professional sparring and mentoring you help translate occupational therapy knowledge into action across the entire team. We are curious about your perspectives and give space for you to influence the development of our shared rehabilitative approach.

A strong community around the citizen

We are part of the Sick and Home Care in Køge Municipality and organized in eight local teams. In Lerbæk Torv you will be met by colleagues who share knowledge, help each other and have an eye for the fact that good solutions are created together.

Here, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, assessors and social and health care workers work closely together. We bring our different professional backgrounds into play so that the citizen experiences a holistic and coherent pathway.

At the same time, you will become part of a strong therapeutic professional community across local teams and the Health Center. Here there are good opportunities for sparring, networking and joint professional development. In daily life you report to the local team's team leader, while the therapeutic team leader supports quality, coordination and development across the municipality.

What you can look forward to

  • A committed and professionally strong multidisciplinary team with high well-being
  • A high degree of influence and responsibility in daily life
  • An work environment characterized by trust, collaboration and development
  • Good opportunities for professional sparring with therapy colleagues across local teams
  • An workplace where new ideas and professional perspectives are valued
  • Opportunity to help develop the future rehabilitative effort in the municipality

Are you our new colleague?

You are trained as an occupational therapist and want to use your professional skills close to citizens' daily lives. Experience with rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you are curious, relationship-minded and have the courage to learn and contribute.

  • You thrive with both independent responsibility and close teamwork
  • You build good relationships and meet citizens, relatives and colleagues with openness, curiosity and respect
  • You are professionally engaged and motivated to make a concrete difference
  • You actively contribute to collaboration, development and joint solutions across professions
  • You have a driving license category B, which is a requirement for the position
