About the job

Relationships, professionalism and meaningful activities

A skilled colleague is retiring, therefore we are now seeking a pedagogue or an occupational therapist for the Activity Center and with weekend shifts in Bocenter every 4 weeks.

Neurocenter Bytoften has a rare available position in the Activity Center combined with weekend shifts in the Bocenter starting January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

With us you will have a meaningful everyday life. Our primary focus is on the residents' well-being and quality of life, and secondly on staff professional development, good collegial relations and a safe working environment. We value community highly and look forward to welcoming you as part of a dedicated and diverse employee team.

All positions in the Activity Center are combined with weekend shifts in the Bocenter.

In daily work you work in the Activity Center, where the working day typically runs from 9:30 to 15:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, while Wednesdays start earlier.

On some days there may be slightly shifted working hours when you are responsible for transporting residents who are picked up off-site.

Every fourth weekend you have a shift in the Bocenter on Saturdays and Sundays, including a longer 12-hour shift.

The position is generally 30 hours per week, but there is a possibility of more hours if you want – see further down in the advertisement.

In the Activity Center we work in several groups, of which you will become a part. Here we create structure and security for the residents through meaningful activities, relationships, and social interaction. The everyday life is lively and dynamic and includes room for humor and spontaneity – and for immersion, reflection and the more serious conversations. The activities span a wide range, and the residents are active co-creators of the content. You will therefore have a great opportunity to apply your professional competencies and help shape everyday life.

In the Bocenter we support residents in their daily life and home life. The tasks range from personal care to supporting the community in the department and contributing to making the weekend a good and meaningful experience. Here the focus is on calm, presence, coziness and activities – all with the residents' needs and wishes at the center.

You will become part of an interdisciplinary colleague group consisting of social and health care assistants, pedagogues, occupational therapists and nurses.

We work closely together and actively use each other’s professionalities in daily work. We expect that you want sparring, reflection and joint professional development – both within your own field and in the interdisciplinary collaboration.

Experience with the target group or specialized training is not a requirement.

The most important for us is that you want to work with people with acquired brain injury and physical challenges, and that you approach the task with curiosity, commitment and willingness to learn. We ensure thorough introduction and the necessary support so you are well equipped for the tasks.

If you want more than 30 hours, we can offer additional hours on weekends. Here we look at the needs in the departments at Neurocenter Bytoften.

We will hold interviews on Thursday, November 19, 2026.

The application deadline is November 15 at 21:00.

Applications with educational certificates and other relevant documents should be sent electronically via Herning Municipality's website.
