About the job

Would you use your financial expertise close to leaders who are responsible for the municipality's schools, day care and PPR? Can you create an overview of the finances, advise leaders, the manager and the director on budgets and priorities. Do you thrive with responsibility and freedom, and can you both keep on top of the details and lift your gaze when the finances are translated into good decisions?

Our current financial consultant is shifting to another position in the municipality, and therefore we are seeking an experienced colleague for the school and day-care area.

Perhaps it is you we are looking for, for our team of skilled financial consultants.

In addition to an exciting job with good development opportunities, you will get a job with responsibility, flexibility and opportunities for professional sparring.

”You will get a fantastic workplace where learning and collaboration are prioritized highly and the management is very good at giving freedom under responsibility.”

  • Andreas Kjærskov Nørlev, BI- and Analysis Consultant in the Finance Department

About the job: Secure financial management and a view to development

You will become part of our team of financial consultants, where there is a good mix of experienced staff and younger consultants with different backgrounds.

You will become the primary financial consultant for the school and day-care area and will be responsible for the ongoing financial management and sparring with the leadership of the professional areas. In the department you have colleagues with insight into the school and day-care area, whom you can turn to for professional sparring.

Specifically you will

  • Handle budgeting, financial follow-up, closing of accounts and ongoing operations in the school and day-care area.
  • Maintain close dialogue with the director, managers, leaders and key employees and prepare them to make decisions on a solid financial basis.
  • Develop, implement and maintain forecast models.
  • Prepare tariff calculations for your professional areas.
  • Work with demographic adjustment and corresponding resource models in the school and day-care area.
  • Generally support, develop and challenge the professional areas.
  • Participate in relevant cross-cutting finance and analysis tasks.

You have a lot of freedom to structure your work in the way that best fits, including when it comes to home working. To ensure good collaboration across, we have agreed on shared office days, just as you will also have office days and meetings at your professional areas.

About you: Structured and persistent with a curious approach

We imagine that you come with a relevant financial education and have experience with financial management from a municipality, other public organization or from a larger private company. You thrive with taking responsibility and being a financial sparring partner, and you can ensure quality in the detail and keep an overview.

You do not necessarily need to know the school and day-care area in advance. Instead we expect that you are curious and want to thoroughly understand both the finances and the professional reality behind the numbers. It is important that you thrive with close collaboration and can build good relationships with managers and employees.

We particularly value that you

  • Have a strong analytical sense and a good eye for both the whole and the detail.
  • Have good communication skills, so you can convey finance to colleagues with different professional backgrounds.
  • Have an independent, responsible and curious approach to problem solving.
  • Have a good sense of development and optimization opportunities.
  • Contribute positively to the professional and social community in Finance.
