About the job

Do you want to be the executive management's close sparring partner in the work with the strategic development of a modern agency? Are you eager to set direction and create momentum? And are you good at leading and collaborating across organizations? Then read on here.

Directorate and Communications Secretariat The Digitaliseringsstyrelsen's (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen) areas of responsibility span broadly: from development and operation of national infrastructure solutions such as MitID and Digital Post to supervision of digital legislation, the telecommunications sector, AI development and the digital sovereignty agenda. The wide range of tasks is reflected in our organization and in the secretariat's work.

In the Directorate and Communications Secretariat it is our foremost task to support the executive management, the management team and the organization with good processes and strong advice on press and communications. The office consists of about 15 professionally strong employees.

We play a key role in supporting the executive management's daily work and ensuring professional and secure leadership support for the executive management and the management team, including dialogue with the Ministry on cases. The office also runs the agency's cross-cutting strategic processes: the annual results plan and office contracts, work on the agency's strategy, development of the organization, directorate- and management meetings as well as management and directorate seminars.

The office is also responsible for the agency's communications efforts. This includes relatively extensive press handling, the agency's profiles on social media and the operation and development of our website. We also run larger national communication campaigns about the agency's solutions, most recently in connection with the launch of AltID.

The office collaborates with large parts of the organization and acts as a linking factor in many tasks. We place a strong emphasis on being a helpful and accommodating collaborative partner.

Your tasks As our new office head you will have an important role in continuing and developing a well-functioning office. You must also ensure good collaboration with the executive management, the agency's other offices and the Ministry. You report to Director Tanja Franck, and you will be Tanja and the other directorate's close sparring partner and a part of Digitaliseringsstyrelsen's management circle.

The tasks are wide-ranging, and you will among other things be responsible for

  • leading and developing employees with diverse professional backgrounds (ACs, HKs, journalists, communication graduates and a graphic designer).
  • supporting employees in delivering good service and advising the executive management.
  • driving directorate meetings, management group meetings as well as directorate- and management seminars.
  • driving the development and implementation of the agency's strategy and other major organizational initiatives.
  • leading larger communications efforts.
  • coordinating with the Ministry.

About you We are seeking a leader with solid experience from a politically governed organization, for example from a ministry or a central agency. You have a relevant academic education.

You can motivate and set clear direction for a number of experienced and ambitious employees. You have experience in working closely with and advising a directorate or a minister, and you can keep an overview and the good mood in a sometimes hectic environment with tight deadlines and high political attention.

Specifically we place emphasis on you

  • have experience with and are motivated by people management and have an eye for employees' well-being, development and professional growth.
  • are highly process-oriented and can operate at a strategic level without losing sight of detail.
  • can maintain and expand strong collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • have strong political and organizational acumen and thrive in a daily life where the pace is high and days rarely are alike.

In Digitaliseringsstyrelsen we continuously focus on well-being and development for all our leaders and employees. It is therefore crucial that you as a person contribute to a trusting and informal work environment. You will become part of a dynamic organization where, as office head, you have an important role in the ongoing development of the employees. Our everyday life is busy and characterized by complex but interesting tasks and many collaboration interfaces.
