Operating Room Nurse for OR North 2 Orthopaedics, AUH

Do you want to work with advanced orthopedic surgery in a strong professional community where collaboration, development, and patient safety go hand in hand? At the Orthopedic Surgical Operating Department, OP North 2, we are looking for new colleagues for permanent employment on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are seeking both you with experience as an operating room nurse and you who are a nurse and motivated to learn the orthopedic surgical operating specialty. There is an opportunity for on-call freedom if you are an experienced operating room nurse.

A specialty with great variation

With us you will become part of a highly specialized orthopedic surgical operating department with broad professional scope and a daily routine where there are rarely two identical days. We have both short and long operations and collaborate closely across disciplines to ensure high quality, patient safety and the best possible treatment for the patient. Therefore you will experience working with everything from same-day surgery to very complex patient pathways.

We are about 40 operating nurses spread over eight operating rooms and nine specialties. Here you will meet dedicated colleagues with high professionalism, extensive experience and a strong sense of camaraderie.

Your training will primarily take place during the day, but if you wish, we can also arrange training days in the evening shifts, where there is typically a bit more calm in the department and thus better time to go through different principles. We are a 24/7 department where most colleagues are on duty. However, there is an option for on-call freedom or to have a reduced number of shifts when you reach that stage.

Terms of employment

The positions are provisionally 37 hours per week. Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The employment is conditional on a satisfactory child protection certificate and valid authorization.
