We are looking for dedicated and professionally strong nurses for two new evening-shift positions as visiting nurses in Nursing East with primary affiliation to the care homes

We are seeking you from 1 December 2026 to work in the evening and weekend shifts every 3rd weekend.

The position is 37 hours, but we are flexible and will as far as possible try to accommodate your wishes regarding hours.

You will become a central part of a new work arrangement, which will help shape and pave the way to ensure a coherent, flexible and professionally strong nursing coverage at the area’s nursing homes in the evening hours. You will be responsible for the area’s nursing homes, where you contribute with nursing professional sparring, guidance and support to the employees on the shift. You will be part of the team of visiting nurses.

About the position

In the new evening shift position you have a central role in the nursing professional effort at the nursing homes and in collaboration with the visiting nurses. Your meeting place will be in nursing in the East, where your nursing professional colleagues also start.

You work independently and coordinate continuously with staff and nursing professional colleagues and leaders. At the nursing homes there are fixed nurses connected during daytime on weekdays, with whom you will also have close collaboration.

You will be responsible for, that

• weigh the collaboration with citizens and relatives highly
• be an important professional support for staff and contribute to security, quality and development in the daily task execution
• handle planned, acute, and outreach tasks
• carry out nursing professional assessments and prioritisations
• coordinate your own tasks in collaboration with the nursing homes
• document performed interventions according to current guidelines
• contribute to an interdisciplinary and cross-cutting collaboration between nursing homes and the visiting nurses
• on-train and guide staff on the shift
• relate to incoming care progression plans and discharge reports.

We want to strengthen the collaboration between the nursing homes and the visiting evening shifts to ensure coherent citizen pathways, high professional quality and a sensible use of the nursing professional resources.

We have a close interdisciplinary collaboration with relatives, pharmaconomists, dementia consultants, specialists etc.

Who are we

Three nurses will meet daily in the evening shift in the East, where you will take responsibility for the nursing homes. In the entire nursing group we have diverse experiences, competencies and perspectives and a broad and high professional level. We have specialist functions within wound care, palliative care, Nexus, continence, as well as various key functions, a clinical supervisor and mentors for newly employed colleagues.

Salary and employment

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically lies between 37,534 and 54,773 DKK per month for full-time employment. Salary includes pension, special holiday pay and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special pays. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined based on your experience, seniority and competencies and negotiated with the relevant professional organization.
