Pedagogue for Nordvænget's nursery – bring your professional skills into play, every day!

As we have the opportunity to hire an additional educator, we are looking for a professionally strong educator for Nordvænget Nursery in Furesø Municipality. We offer 30-34 hours per week with start around January 1.

We seek a colleague who, like us, is committed to creating learning through care and a good atmosphere in routines, activities, children's culture, transitions, waiting times and breaks.

Welcome to Nordvænget

We live on Ryttergårdsvej in Farum and have 45 children aged 1 to 3 years distributed across 4 rooms. We almost exclusively employ educators in our house, and you should therefore be willing to share the responsibility of the work with your colleagues. Our foundation is appreciative pedagogy, and we value our work community greatly.

In Nordvængets nursery we place emphasis on creating a safe base where children, parents and staff feel welcome. Every day we work to strengthen children's physical, mental and social development. We take care of both the individual child and the group of children as a whole.

We work with a fixed daily organization and divide the children into smaller groups throughout the day. That provides an approachable environment with the opportunity for presence and to see the individual child. Our room meetings and pedagogy meetings are used to plan and especially reflect on our pedagogical practice.

Engagement and development

We need another professionally skilled educator who is willing to contribute with input and challenge in the pedagogical work. You join a collaborative team around a group of children and help create the framework for the pedagogical content. We have close cooperation across the house and are currently particularly focused on care in the pedagogical work. We work with “TOPI,” which means that we, among other things, twice a year perform well-being assessments for the individual child.

Another focus area is language development, where we use Sprogtrappen as a tool. Work around a child is always carried out in close dialogue with the parents.

We are a professionally ambitious staff group and greatly value our good collaboration with other professionals (health visitor, psychologist, speech-language pathologist and physiotherapist) who contribute with sparring and actions around the children (preventive and intervention). We have participated in research projects several times, which helps to focus on and develop our professionalism.

All educators in the day-care sector in Furesø Municipality have preparation time, which helps support the educators' strong professionalism.
