A social educator is sought for The Sisters' Shared Living Community in Sæby

Do you want to help create safe, meaningful and development-oriented surroundings for adults with special needs?

At The Sisters' Shared Living Community we are looking for an engaged and professionally grounded educator who is passionate about the field of special needs and wishes to make a positive difference in the residents' daily lives. We are a small residential facility in Sæby for adults with intellectual disabilities and communication challenges, where relationships, presence and high professional standards are the foundation of our work.

About the position

As an educator with us you will be an important part of a dedicated team that works purposefully to support residents' well-being, self-determination and development.

Your tasks will include

• To provide social-pedagogical support and guidance in the residents' daily life
• To create structure, safety and recognizability in daily activities
• To support residents' communicative, social and personal development
• To document interventions and follow up on goals and sub-goals
• To collaborate with relatives, caseworkers and other partners
• To actively participate in practical tasks around the residents' home and daily life
• To contribute to a positive and professionally strong working environment

We expect that you

• Are trained as an educator
• Have an interest in or experience with the field of special education
• Can work relationally and see possibilities rather than limitations
• Are calm, stable and clear in your communication
• Can work both independently and in close teamwork
• Are willing to take part in practical tasks as a natural part of the job
• Can document professional interventions in writing
• Are flexible regarding changing working hours, including evening, weekend and holiday shifts
• Have a category B driving license
