Educator for Nordlys Kindergarten

We are looking for a colleague for the kindergarten who meets children, parents and colleagues with recognition, positivity and professionalism – and who wants to actively contribute to our community.

Our pedagogical foundation

At Nordlys we work from an appreciative view of children, where the relationship between child and adult is decisive. We create frameworks that support the children's courage, curiosity, resilience and social skills.

For us, pedagogy happens all day – in play, routines, transitions and interaction. We plan everyday life based on the current group of children and work consciously with the balance between structure and flexibility. We emphasize creating a safe and predictable learning environment, where we as adults create security and calm throughout the day.

Nordlys is an integrated day-care facility located on 2 different sites in the center of Vordingborg. The infant group has 28 children, and the kindergarten currently has 56 children, distributed over 3 groups.

We are seeking a pedagogue who is willing and capable of both walking with, leading and taking responsibility for the broad collaboration around all our children, while still making room to cultivate the small groups and the close relationships.

We plan and develop the pedagogical practice in staff and team meetings. We are part of the large pedagogical development project “All Children’s Daycare” as well as a large language project “We Learn Together.” Through this we focus on developing learning environments and are in an early phase regarding using KIDS as a tool to support the pedagogical quality.

About you

We are looking for a trained pedagogue who

• Is passionate about working with kindergarten children and contributes with a high level of professionalism, which you manage to translate into practice.
• Works in an appreciative, caring and structured way
• Has an eye for both the individual child and its resources as well as the child community
• Takes responsibility for planning, implementation and evaluation of the pedagogical practice
• Contributes actively to collaboration and our shared direction
• Values a respectful and professional parent collaboration – even when conversations are difficult
• Can prepare professional development descriptions for children

Practical information

The positions are 37 hours per week. 1 hour per week is deducted for meetings, etc. Employment from December 1st or as soon as possible.

When employed we will obtain child safety and criminal background checks as well as references.
