About the job

We are in ongoing development, and therefore welcome new staff.

As an educator with us you will join a working community with a focus on professional immersion and personal development. We are curious, reflective and have a close collegial collaboration, where we develop practice and each other together.

You will become part of a professionally strong community, where engagement, development and job satisfaction go hand in hand. Here there is room to bring your professionalism into play, influence the everyday and help create meaningful practice – together with colleagues and in interdisciplinary efforts.

Can you see yourself in the above? Then you can become an important part of our working community.

Who are we at Skovbo?

We are a specialized offering for adult citizens with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, who need a structured and recognizable everyday life. We take our starting point in each citizen's needs, pace and interests and prioritize time and presence, so we can build relationships that make a difference.

Our pedagogical approach is built on structure and predictability, and we work according to the approaches Gentle Teaching Nordic, Low Arousal and neuro-pedagogy. In addition, we use visual support and sensory integration to create clear and meaningful everyday life.

We emphasize professional development and methodological curiosity. Collegial sparring and supervision across professional groups are a fixed part of everyday life, and it provides a strong professional environment where we continuously develop our practice.

Nature-close frameworks that provide calm and pedagogical possibilities

We are located in an area with forest and fjord nearby. Our outdoor areas provide good conditions for calm, activity and sensory experiences. Nature is actively used in our pedagogy for walking and cycling trips, breaks or as a quiet place to retreat. Our sensory garden provides opportunities to work with the senses through scents, sounds and textures in an approachable outdoor space.
