PPS consists of a total of about 36 employees with five different professional backgrounds: health visitors, speech-language pathologists, special pedagogical advisers, educational psychologists and a physiotherapist. In collaboration with parents and professionals in day care and schools, PPS is part of the early, preventive effort and contributes to ensuring good development and learning opportunities for all children and young people.

This work is supported by interdisciplinary collaboration, where PPS acts as a central player in collaboration with, among others, the Family Department and the Youth Department. In addition to the interdisciplinary collaboration internally in Billund Municipality, PPS also participates in several external collaborations with both maternity wards, child and adolescent psychiatric departments, private practicing doctors and Campus Grindsted.

Since 2024 PPS, in collaboration with Family House, has offered a range of accessible treatment options for children and young people experiencing mental distress.

At PPS we are focused on ensuring that our collaboration with day care and schools makes a difference for the children, youths and families whom all our tasks target. More and more children and youths show signs of ill-being. This requires that our focus is practice-oriented, and that recommendations target the child’s everyday life. We are, together with the professionals around the child, curious about what lies behind the child’s behavior – what it is an invitation to – in order to be ambitious and targeted on behalf of all children.

One of our educational psychologists is going on maternity leave and therefore we are seeking an educational psychologist for a maternity cover of 37 hours.

We emphasize that you

• Have relevant education and qualifications, including a background as Cand.psych, Cand.pæd.psych or a master's in educational psychology
• Have a desire to help day care and schools create development-promoting communities for our children and young people, and see yourself in the playful approach that characterizes the entire children and youth sector in Billund Municipality
• Are professionally well-founded, have the children in mind, and can translate your knowledge into different arenas
• Have experience with working in a consultancy role and are able to engage in close collaboration with day care and school leaders
• Have courage and a desire to challenge assumptions and preconceptions – in an appreciative manner
• Have self-insight – and know yourself, both alone and in interaction with others
• Are able to prioritize among many tasks and concurrent processes in a good and busy work environment
• Have experience with PPR work

Salaries and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. A driving license and own car are required for performing the work. We will obtain a police check for working with children.
