Pedagogical Assistants and Educational Assistants for Børnehuset Sydhavnen

Do you want to help create a safe and immersive everyday life for our children? We are seeking dedicated and stable pedagogical assistants and assistant pedagogues for both our nursery and kindergarten.

Who are we?

We are an integrated institution, which moved into our lovely premises in October 2023. We are in the midst of an exciting professional development process, where we collectively shape everyday life and the good life for children.

For us, everyday life is characterized by

• presence, safety and immersion
• slow pedagogy - we take time for the children, listen to their initiatives and keep calm in daily activities
• focus on calm and acoustics - we actively create quiet learning environments and smaller groups, so both children and adults have a good indoor climate without unnecessary noise
• valuable everyday routines - we view meals, wardrobe situations and transitions as important moments where we are present and support the children's independence and language
• strong interactions (UGL) - we meet the children with curiosity and give ourselves time to see and listen to each individual child

What are we looking for in you?

Whether you are a trained pedagogical assistant or applying as an assistant pedagogue (perhaps with experience or a desire to explore the field), we hope that you

• are present and engaged - you love being at child height, actively participate in play and create safe frames for the children
• contribute to stability and overview - you show up reliably, take co-responsibility for daily practical and pedagogical tasks and maintain calm – even when the day brings changes
• have a diverse view of children - you meet all children with warmth, acknowledgment and respect for their differences
• are a good colleague - you contribute with good energy, support the team and want to learn and develop together with us
• thrive in an integrated house - you are willing to collaborate across rooms and departments when we lift as a team

Employment terms

Salary and employment conditions follow the applicable collective agreement (FOA/LFS). In connection with the positions, we obtain child and criminal records checks as well as references. The exact weekly hours can be agreed upon (up to 37 hours).
