Venslev Høkeren is a very special place, which, in addition to being a grocery store, is characterized by being a gathering place for many users who come to enjoy a free cup of coffee and have a chat in the cafe.

The place exudes commitment and has enormous support from the entire local community.

We are now seeking 1-2 part-time employees who would like to contribute to making Høkeren an even better store.

If you are passionate about retail, store development and good customer experiences, and want to be part of our busy grocery store, you could be one of our new employees. Here you contribute together with both staff and volunteers to create a store that customers want to return to again and again.

About the position

We are looking for employees who

· are keen to be part of a truly special community

· have drive, and want to help develop and optimize our store and cafe

· take pride in ensuring that Høkeren always appears cozy and presentable

· take responsibility for the development and optimization of their own areas of responsibility

Your main responsibilities

· Being part of the daily operations

· Ensuring high customer service

· Stock ordering, receipt of goods and date control of own product groups

Who are you?

You are a responsible and energetic person who thrives on the many diverse tasks that naturally come with a busy grocery store. You are just as happy on the floor, where you tidy the shop, as at the till, where you serve customers or make coffee for cafe guests. You are an inclusive person who can take responsibility and work independently, and you understand the importance of collaborating with both the other staff, the volunteers and Høkeren's many users.

In addition, we would like a person who

· has experience from retail – preferably groceries

· is structured and good at planning their time, prioritizing and following up – even when busy

· is visible on the shop floor and contributes energy and good humor

· is customer-minded and has good social skills

The board sets the framework for the store, and within these boundaries you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own areas and help shape the store's operations and development.

About Høkeren: Venslev Høkeren is one of the country's first cooperative-owned grocery stores, which came to light in 2015. Høkeren is collectively owned by about 250 members from the local area, and runs both cafe and shop with the most common groceries as well as local products. Høkeren has about 30 volunteers who contribute with everything needed to run a store.
