About the job

Børnehytten seeks a dedicated pedagogical assistant for our nursery.

Who we are

We are a private integrated day care facility located in the heart of Kettinge. We are licensed for 12 infants and 29 preschool children. We have close collaboration with the parent council and the local association and business community.

The house embodies closeness, care and togetherness for the children as well as for the colleagues. We focus on well-being and safety and therefore place a high value on parental contact, among other things. We are good at working together and making each other look good in everyday life. Due to the size of the building there is a natural good relationship with the children across rooms and we can quickly step in on all rooms if the need arises.

Børnehytten adjoins a former gravel pit that now functions as a recreational area with a campfire hut, nature play area, artificial lakes with fish and many other opportunities for activities with the children. In addition, we have our own playground divided into nursery and kindergarten, where we prioritise that the children go outside every day. It is therefore important that you enjoy being part of outdoor life regardless of wind and weather, as our children also love to jump in puddles, look at insects and find earthworms.

In the nursery, the value of time is central to our pedagogical work. Time for presence, time for immersion and time to create small meaningful moments that form the foundation for the children’s learning, development, well-being and formation. We focus on creating developmental learning environments where all children – regardless of needs and prerequisites – have the opportunity to participate in meaningful communities.

What we expect of you

You are a trained pedagogical assistant and preferably with experience from the early childhood sector. You are empathetic, caring and place high importance on relationship work. You are curious and playful in your approach to the children and value time, trust and safety for both older and younger children.

You should have a natural interest and curiosity about language development and its use in everyday life.

You can in collaboration with your colleagues on the room plan activities and evaluate them based on the new strengthened pedagogical learning framework.

You can collaborate with your colleagues to assess the children’s well-being and development and, if necessary, implement concrete measures. You should be able to see the individual child and contribute to developing action plans, recommendations, coordinating interdisciplinary collaboration and more.

About the position

We offer employment as soon as possible or from 1/11-26 in a 32-hour position under the GLD collective agreement.

Application deadline: 23/9-26 Interviews are expected to be held in week 40.
