Pedagogical leader for lower primary, SFO and inclusive communities at Elverhøjens School

In Herlev Municipality we are massively investing in the public school system, allocating 21 million DKK annually to the municipal schools from 2026. The funds are used, among other things, for a two-teacher system in Danish and mathematics, professional development, and more adults in after-school care (SFO) and club. This gives you as a leader even better frameworks to work with to ensure high-quality teaching and strong relationship-building. And thus support employees in making a difference for the children in school, SFO, and club.

Furthermore, from the 26/27 school year we have established local schools on each site with close and present leadership and a strong local community.

Do you want to lead our youngest students' school and after-school life and at the same time help develop strong inclusive communities?

At Elverhøjens Skole we are looking for a professionally grounded and engaged academic leader for the primary grades (0-2) and SFO, with commencement of 1 January 2027.

You will have the daily pedagogical and personnel responsibility for the school’s youngest cohorts and SFO. In addition, you will be responsible for further developing our efforts around inclusive learning communities for children in vulnerable positions, where we work with various mediations and preventive actions.

As the academic leader you will be an important part of the school’s leadership team, which consists of the principal and two academic leaders. In the coming period, the leadership team will be expanded further with a secondary-school leader in line with the school’s development. We place great emphasis on close, trusting, and mutually binding cooperation, where we make each other look good and together set the direction for the school.

About Elverhøjens Skole

Elverhøjens Skole is a school in development with just over 400 students from 0th to 7th grade, as well as SFO and club. In the coming years we will gradually expand to a full secondary school.

This means we prioritize collaboration across departments, subject areas, and year groups, both regarding teaching, well-being, activities, and the development of the school’s learning environments.

Recruitment process

Salary and employment

Salary is determined according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles for new pay. Background checks and criminal record checks will be obtained for employees who are employed at the schools in Herlev Municipality.
