We are looking for you , who have a solid caregiving instinct, have a solid overview and are a good communicator. It is essential that you can hand over the task solidly to the day shift during shift handovers.

With us you become a central part of a team where you take ownership of your tasks. You will become an important part of the house with the possibility to make autonomous decisions, but also brainstorm with your colleagues daily.

In your team you will follow an annual cycle that provides time for professional depth in the educational approach as well as professional supervision. Your work is built around fixed daily structures, but you will nevertheless never experience that two days are the same.

It is an advantage that you

• Have a relevant educational background in pedagogy, social work or health care.
• Have knowledge of working with autism, complex behavioral challenges and thrive in caregiving.
• Have a professionalism that enables you to maintain an overview and make decisions under pressure
• Have a high degree of empathy, honesty and be willing to take responsibility
• Have experience with personal care
• Have a B driving license

About HabitusHuset Mejlskov

We are a newly started pedagogical residential facility that provides a framework for citizens with complex developmental disorders. The house is located in a scenic and quiet area in northwest Fyn. The offering is surrounded by open green landscapes, woodland areas and meadow paths, within walking distance to the beach. The surroundings are characterized by homeliness, an overview and sensory-stimulating opportunities that create security and support the residents' well-being and development.

The surroundings offer good opportunities for nature-based activities, tranquil walks, structure in everyday life and an environment where residents can develop at a pace and in a way that matches their individual needs.

As a §104, 107 and 108 facility, each citizen has their own apartment and additionally shares common areas indoors and outdoors, which creates opportunities for the citizens to socialize to the extent of their abilities, to go out into nature and develop through the many sensory experiences they find there, and at the same time have the option to retreat when they need to find calm.

Although we are a new residential facility, we already have a strong professionally based pedagogical method as part of Habitus, but it is also an opportunity for you to help create a new culture and build the right structures around our citizens that best support their development

You can expect a changing everyday life, where the focus is both on professional and personal development. There are fixed teams around the residents, where we as a rule work with 1:1 staffing and 14-hour shifts. We are also looking for night shifts.
