And are you ready to commit to professionalism and collaboration, which are the keys to succeeding with the core task?

Welcome to Grenen-Dalstrup

The secure treatment institution Grenen-Dalstrup is part of the Special Area Criminally Threatened and Convicted Children and Young People (DOK) in the Central Region. Grenen-Dalstrup currently consists of three secure departments (Nord, Kronen and Udsigten) and a specially secured department (Syd), where there is space and room in total for 19 children and youths aged 12-18.

In the special area DOK the core task is to deliver services at a high specialized level to some of the most vulnerable children and youths in Denmark.

Grenen-Dalstrup receives youths who are primarily placed due to accusations of crime, abuse or other behavior that poses a danger to the youth themselves or others. In addition, we often receive youths who are diagnosed with or need to be assessed for mental disorders and behavioral disorders, hence there is close collaboration with DOK's internal psychology department and an externally attached psychiatrist.

Specially for the Syd department, here live youths with severe mentally deviant behavior, which results in a broader support need that cannot be accommodated on the ordinary secure departments. The youths are often connected to psychiatry.
