The position is 33-37 hours per week, of which three hours are not during childcare time for a team coordinator role with scheduling and coordination. The position is to be filled from January 1st.

About Hyldekær Børnehuset Hyldekær is located in beautiful, rural surroundings in Gundsømagle in the northern part of Roskilde – with forest, fields and a lake within walking distance. The nursery consists of two kindergarten groups and currently two toddler groups.

We have a large playground with rich opportunities for activity, where you can help shape everyday life. Our indoor spaces include rooms with adjacent common areas in both sections. The kitchen is in the heart of the house and offers hot and cold dishes made from fresh ingredients, prepared by our skilled kitchen staff.

We work with a clear daily structure and division into smaller groups. In this way we can create overview and predictability for both children and adults.

Our approach is based on a resource-oriented view of children, where we focus on the fact that children do well when they can. This means that we adults must be proactive, approach the task with curiosity and adjust our practice. Maybe we should step back and see the world through the child’s eyes – or find a new way that works better. We believe in clarity, care and presence that help the children flourish.

We place a high value on close and professional collaboration with parents, and we see parents as important sparring partners regarding their children.

Time for the core task

In Roskilde Municipality it is politically prioritized that all houses are allocated preparation time.

The preparation time should enable staff to work more systematically with the core task, and at the same time create better frameworks for professional development, well-being, job satisfaction and strong communities – without compromising childcare time and staffing levels.
