About the job

Educator with a music profile at Skovbo

Create joy, community and development through music

Skovbo is growing, and therefore we are looking for a new colleague for 32-37 hours per week. There is the possibility of weekend shifts every other or every third weekend by agreement.

We are looking for an educator or a staff member with another relevant professional background, who sees music as a natural part of everyday life and uses it to create contact, community and development for children and young people with special needs.

About the position

At Skovbo, music is already an important part of everyday life, and we want to strengthen this area further. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who wants to actively bring music, rhythm, song, sound and movement into play as part of the pedagogical practice.

Music and creativity can create joy, presence and participation opportunities for children and young people who communicate and experience the world in many different ways. Through music we create atmospheres, relationships, sensory stimuli and meaningful communities.

You will become part of a professional community where we develop our practice together. We work, among other things, with musical trial actions, joint reflection and exchange of experiences with Skovbo's other music profiles. There is great freedom to bring your own interests, experiences and competencies into play.

About Skovbo

Skovbo is a children’s and youth home for children and young people with significant and lasting functional impairment, autism and related developmental disorders. We also offer respite stays.

Our three departments, Blæksprutten, Lærken and Sommerfuglen, accommodate both children and young people with different needs and prerequisites.

What the children and young people share is that they need clear, caring adults who, based on their perspective and life-world, support well-being, relationships, structure and development.

As an employee at Skovbo you become part of the daily pedagogical work, where music is a professional perspective and a tool to create meaning, participation and quality of life.

We offer

  • Thorough introduction and mentoring scheme
  • Teaching days within pedagogical and health-related themes
  • Courses in medication handling, communication and transfers
  • A shared professional foundation through the Autism Pilot training
  • Opportunity for relevant after- and further education
  • A strong working community characterized by psychological safety, humor and high social capital
  • Professional sparring, supervision and support from an interdisciplinary coordinator and management team

We emphasize that you

  • Are educated as an educator or have another relevant professional background
  • Have an interest in music and use it actively to create joy, relationships and development opportunities
  • Work in an appreciative, structured and reflective manner
  • Thrive in a work community where knowledge and experiences are shared
  • Actively contribute to professional development and co-creation
  • Meet both children, colleagues and families with engagement, presence and joy of life

Our core task

At Skovbo our core task is to create well-being, development and learning for children and young people in close collaboration with their families.

We want every child to go to bed each night with the feeling of being wanted, valuable and loved in a daily life characterized by joy, safety, engagement and meaningful experiences.

We believe that development is created in relationships and communities. Therefore we highly prioritize collaboration, professional curiosity and continuous learning – both internally and in cooperation with families and external partners.
