About the job

“From passive help to active training” – that is the direction our politicians have set, and which forms the basis for our work.

If you are up for becoming our new colleague, we can offer a permanent position of 30-37 hours per week as a physiotherapist with start date 1 December 2026 or by agreement.

We are creative in composing the contents of the position – this is how we work, because we live on an island and must solve all the tasks that come along.

You will work broadly with citizens in their own homes and in nursing homes. As a physiotherapist, you will be a central part of the rehabilitative efforts at our upcoming health and care placements, which we run in collaboration with the region. Here you will participate in processes with citizens who need targeted training, rehabilitation, and professional assessment after hospital admission, illness or loss of function – with a focus on strengthening the citizen’s possibilities to return to daily life at the best possible functional level.

You will become part of Team Vejgaard, where home care, nursing, admissions and therapists are based. Your work will include tasks under the Health Act, the Service Act and the Elderly Act, and you will be an important part of the overall effort around the citizen.

You are a trained physiotherapist and have Danish authorization. Experience from municipal rehabilitation, rehabilitation services, assistive technology or interdisciplinary patient pathways is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you want to work independently, take responsibility and actively contribute to the development of the rehabilitative effort on Læsø.

We expect that you

  • Are a trained physiotherapist and have Danish authorization
  • Want to work with citizens with chronic physical and mental illnesses, as well as citizens in rehabilitation and treatment pathways
  • Have knowledge of or interest in transfers, mobilization, digitally supported training and the granting of assistive devices
  • Can thrive in a daily life where you must work independently, prioritize and keep an overview
  • Have situational awareness and be flexible, robust, proactive, creative and development-oriented
  • Have an interest in and preferably experience with preventive and rehabilitative work as well as ensuring good patient pathways
  • Want to actively contribute to good interdisciplinary collaboration and be able to collaborate both professionally and interdisciplinarily
  • Have experience with health-related documentation and have IT knowledge; we work, among other things, with Cura and Exorlive
  • Have a driving license

Older People and Health

The Older People and Health Administration covers all tasks within prevention, health, care, welfare and treatment on Læsø.

We can offer

  • A diverse and professionally challenging job with general and specialized tasks for citizens in their own homes, in nursing homes and at health and care placements
  • Opportunity to work with health promotion, prevention, rehabilitation, reconditioning and targeted citizen pathways
  • An workplace where the citizen is at the center around the clock, and where multidisciplinary collaboration is at the forefront
  • A well-planned introduction, including a local introductory program of up to three months with a mentoring scheme
  • Dedicated colleagues of all ages and close professional sparring across disciplines
  • Opportunity for dialogue about the arrangement of working hours and about the practical aspects of working and living on Læsø
  • Smoke-free working hours
