About the job

Are you our new car preparation assistant at one of Denmark's most unique workplaces?

Do you enjoy having many balls in the air and do you have an eye for detail? Are you service-minded with flair for customer service and ready to get involved? Then it may be you we need as our new colleague in Skrydstrup.

About us

The Danish Defence Supply Service is a modern logistics company, and a central actor in the Defence's supply chain. We support the Ministry of Defence's Group with the delivery of all types of supplies and logistical services. We deliver logistics on time to all Defence users, with the greatest possible precision.

The Skrydstrup Supply Center is part of the Supply Department, delivering supplies directly to Defence deployed units and soldiers – deployed in operations either at home or abroad. We mainly serve units and users at Skrydstrup Air Base, and support other units in the Defence, including Home Guard units.

You will primarily join the pool car team, but must also work significantly independently. You will mainly handle the preparation of the loaner cars in Skrydstrup, but also assist in our pool of loaner cars in Haderslev.

We are a mixed team of 17 civilian and military employees. The tone with us is informal with room for a laugh and good spirits. We always set our professionalism high and prioritise the importance of delivering a very good and stable service to our customers.

About the position

As a car preparation assistant, you will, as part of a team, handle the preparation of the loan cars, and periodically assist with solving other tasks at the Supply Center.

The tasks include, for example

  • Cleaning of cars
  • Help with moving cars around Southern Jutland
  • Assist and support our department in Haderslev
  • Depot work to be carried out

About you

We imagine that you have experience with car preparation or other relevant experience.

Responsibility and quality are fundamental values for the Defence and we expect you to actively take responsibility, in relation to the tasks you are presented with. You will join a team of experienced and skilled craftspeople, where it is natural to help and support each other, and where the effort, among other things, is measured by customer satisfaction.

We expect you to put energy into your work, be engaged and proactive, and enjoy collaborating with others. When the situation requires it, you are also able to work independently with the assigned tasks or help solve tasks across the sections.

You have good sense of order and the ability to join a self-managing team.

We emphasise the following competences for the job

  • You are structured and are an orderly person with an eye for detail
  • You have an overview and can work under pressure
  • You are proactive in your approach to the job
  • You have knowledge of IT
  • You are outgoing, flexible and possess a strong service mindset
  • You set demands on your work, and take pride in ensuring your tasks are performed correctly and on time
  • You are known for actively contributing to task solving in collaboration with others, and you have a high professional level.

If you have a background in the Defence, that is an advantage but not a requirement.

Knowledge of DeMars/SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage. Most importantly, you have generally good IT knowledge and are used to working in different systems.

It is a requirement that you have a category B driving license and preferably also a forklift license (certificate B).

Employment terms

The employment is governed by the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The Civil Service Area (OAO-S collective agreement) and the Agreement for cleaning assistants, sanitizers, skilled workers and certain vocational graduates in the state, etc. (3F).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating supplements. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Skrydstrup.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be able to obtain security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-making, humanitarian and other similar operations.

Contact and application

If you want to hear more about the position, you are welcome to contact the head of the Skrydstrup Supply Center, Sergeant Major Mikael at phone 2555 2571.

If you have questions about salary and employment terms, you are welcome to contact the Personnel Command, HR consultant Emilia Kyhn Sixhøi at phone 5171 1535.

The application deadline is 11 November 2026 and interviews are expected to be held on a rolling basis. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

You apply for the position via the link, and we ask you to attach your application, CV and a copy of your apprenticeship certificate. Please note that attachments must be added in PDF format.

In the Defence Ministry’s organisation we believe that diversity optimises task solving. Therefore we encourage all interested regardless of background to apply for the position.
