About the job

Do you have experience with small children with motor challenges, and do you thrive in creating security through play and presence? We are looking for a professionally trained employee for a 1-year-old girl who will soon move from Juelsminde to Bramming. You start by working with the girl in Juelsminde and accompany her to Bramming, where the task continues.

About the task

You will become part of the daily life of a happy and curious 1-year-old girl who loves music, water play and activities with movement. She enjoys contact with people, she is comfortable with, and loves playing with things that can be grasped, stacked and toppled.

The girl is motorically and developmentally delayed and needs close support in her daily activities. She can sit on her own but needs help with balance as well as support to stand and walk. She does not yet have verbal language, but communicates through sounds and babble.

Your task will be to create safe and stimulating surroundings around her everyday life. You will participate in play, motor training and activities that support her development. This can be movement games, sensory stimulation, music, water play or walks with the pram.

You will also help with daily routines such as meals, bathing, diaper changes and bedtime. The task also includes handling nutrition and medication according to further agreement.

You will be alone with the girl during the entire shift and therefore have the responsibility to create a safe and caring everyday where her needs are met. It requires you to be attentive to her signals and able to work independently with both care, activities and the daily routines.

About you

We are looking for someone who is educated as a pedagogue, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social- and health care assistant, social- and health helper or nurse.

It is an advantage if you have experience with cerebral palsy or with small children with motor and communicative challenges.

You have a calm and patient approach and are good at reading the child’s signals and adapting activities to her needs. You thrive with close 1:1 contact and can combine care and presence with a development-supporting approach.

Since you work alone with the girl, it is important that you are comfortable taking responsibility and can create structure and overview through a longer shift.

It is also important that you have the possibility to start in Juelsminde and subsequently continue as a permanent employee when the girl moves to Bramming.

Working hours

The position is up to 100 hours per month.

You work about 48 hours every other weekend from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. You are alone with the girl during the entire shift.

In addition there is a pool of hours used as needed. These shifts are planned flexibly and ad hoc.

In connection with the start there will be a few shifts in November where you get the opportunity to get to know the girl and her needs. There will also be shifts in Juelsminde in the period 3–6 December.

Thereafter the task continues in Bramming.

We offer

You will become part of a family-owned company with many dedicated employees. You have a fixed advisor you can always get sparring from. Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension according to the nationwide agreement entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance, and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.

We offer a wide variety of courses, and you receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling as an employee at DUOS. And you cannot help but develop yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people with us at DUOS.
