Procurement Lawyer / Procurement Consultant

Can you bring procurement law, operations and environmental considerations together in a single, cohesive whole?

Then you are the person we are looking for as a new colleague in our procurement team!

At AffaldPlus, procurement and purchasing are more than a set of legal documents. The good agreement must also work in practice – for colleagues in operations, for the finances and for the green transition.

Therefore we are looking for a new procurement consultant who wants to be involved all the way: from the first need arising in the organization, through market dialogue and the procurement process, to the finished contract and implementation in operations.

You will become part of a small, specialized procurement team where we spar with each other and at the same time have great autonomy in our own tasks. We carry out procurements in close collaboration with management and professionals across the organization.

Your tasks

You will among other things

• advise the organization on purchasing, tenders, agreements and contracts
• plan and carry out procurements from start to finish
• conduct market dialogue and contribute to the selection of procurement and purchasing strategy
• prepare tender materials, evaluation models and contracts
• work closely with colleagues from operations on requirement specifications and procurement terms
• contribute to the implementation of concluded contracts
• help continuously develop our way of working with purchasing and procurement.

Procurement at AffaldPlus

The procurement area at AffaldPlus is evolving, and you will have the opportunity to shape how we work with purchasing and contracts – from our workflows and tools to the way we collaborate with the organization. There is great variation in our tasks.

One day it may concern machines or equipment for operations, the next about a technical or operationally critical agreement – and occasionally about completely new solutions, e.g. when we explore new and more sustainable ways to handle and valorize different waste fractions. It also means that we regularly move into areas where the solution is not given in advance, and where market dialogue and curiosity become an important part of the procurement process.

We work according to both the Public Procurement Act and the Utilities Directive, and our procurements range from relatively simple purchases to complex agreements with many technical, legal and commercial considerations.

At AffaldPlus we work with the triple bottom line. Therefore we also integrate environmental, social and economic considerations into our purchasing when they create real value and can function in practice.

We also collaborate with other actors in the industry on, among other things, market dialogue and joint procurement.

Who are you?

You have a relevant higher education degree, but most importantly you have experience with purchasing and procurement and enjoy working in this area. We value that you work analytically, systematically and structurally, and that you have a solid foundation to handle the many administrative issues associated with purchasing and procurement in a utility company. We particularly envision that you:

• work in a structured way and can maintain an overview in complex processes
• have an analytical mind and attention to detail
• can drive a process forward and at the same time bring others along
• can translate technical and professional input into clear requirements
• thrive with both law, administration and people
• dare to ask questions and challenge a need when it makes sense
• are curious about the organization and the reality in which the agreements must operate.

Knowledge of the waste or utilities sector is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you are curious about our business and want to immerse yourself in the reality our agreements must function in. You thrive on close collaboration with the people who know the operations and needs, so that the agreements ultimately work in practice.

The position is a full-time role of 37 hours with base in Næstved. Salary and employment terms follow the agreement between KL and your professional organization.
