Production Engineer

Do you have solid understanding of industrial production, and are you passionate about translating technical insights into concrete improvements? Do you thrive close to the production, where you, together with operators and colleagues, find solutions that work in practice? Then you may be our new Production Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced and practically oriented production-technical profile who, with a strong sense of structure, contributes to the development of our physical production with a focus on flow, productivity, and process stability. You will have a central role in identifying improvement opportunities, implementing solutions and ensuring that they become a natural part of everyday life. In addition, you should have an interest in using new digital tools to support your production-technical expertise – but your foundation is an understanding of production.

Your role and tasks

You will be a driving force in our ongoing production development. Your task is not only to analyze to propose improvements, but also to test solutions in production and follow them all the way to the end.

You will work closely with the other departments in the house, where you together will create efficient workflows, reduce waste and ensure a good interaction between processes, people and technology. Your contribution must be felt in daily production, and we expect that your contributions create improvements for both employees and the company. Therefore, your area of work will primarily consist of:

• Drive Lean and improvement projects with a focus on productivity, quality and throughput time.
• Conduct Gemba walks, process analyses and value stream analyses to identify bottlenecks and waste.
• Optimize material flow, layout, internal logistics and material supply.
• Reduce changeover times and develop standardized work methods.
• Optimize fixtures, aids and clamping principles.
• Support the industrialization of new and changed products.
• Contribute to clear ownership and ongoing development of CNC and robot processes.
• Utilize production data to prioritize improvements and document the effect.
• Ensure that improvements are documented, standardized and anchored in the organization.
• Apply relevant digital tools and AI for analysis, problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

Concrete tasks could, for example, be to analyze internal transport, optimize material supply, reduce waiting times or improve changeovers and critical work processes.

Who are you?

We envisage that you have a relevant technical education such as a mechanical engineer, production engineer, diploma engineer or production technologist – combined with solid practical experience from industrial production. In addition, we place emphasis on that you:

• Have strong experience with production optimization, Lean, flow and industrialization.
• Have an understanding of machining, welding, assembly, CNC and robot-based processes.
• Can systematically analyze production problems and translate the results into practical solutions.
• Are used to using data to support decisions and measure the effect of improvements.
• Can collaborate across disciplines and create engagement around new work methods.
• Work independently and persistently and ensure that improvements are implemented and sustained.
