The Impact You'll Make
Do you have a passion for production engineering, process optimization and technical improvements close to production?
At Danfoss Climate Solutions, Heat Exchangers (HEX), we are seeking a Production Engineer for our production engineering team across Kolding and Christiansfeld.
The primary task in the role is to support, optimize and develop our existing production processes. You will become an important technical sparring partner for production and will have a central role in working to improve safety, quality, productivity and delivery reliability.
At the same time you will be an important part of our work with new products. Through your understanding of processes, equipment and production challenges you contribute to new products being implemented effectively and robustly in production.
Your experience from daily production helps us identify improvement opportunities early and ensure that existing knowledge and solutions are actively brought into play when new products are implemented.
Your efforts will be crucial to our ability to deliver products with high quality, strong delivery reliability and competitive production costs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your daily life will be close to production, where you work with technical improvements and process development. At the same time you will have the opportunity to put this knowledge into play in connection with the introduction of new products and production solutions.
You will among other things
- Drive optimization of production processes with focus on safety, quality, delivery and productivity
- Identify and solve production engineering challenges and implement lasting improvements of processes, work methods and equipment
- Work with layout optimization, metrology, press technology and development of production equipment
- Ensure robust process documentation and standards that support stable production
- Contribute to NPD and industrialization projects by ensuring that new products and processes can be implemented safely, efficiently and robustly in production
You will also participate in testing and ramp-up of new products, work with prototype and pilot production, and ensure that experiences from production are actively used in further product development.
What We're Looking For
We envisage that you have a technical education as a production engineer, mechanical engineer, production technologist or similar combined with experience from production, industrialization or product development.
To be successful in the role we would like you to
- Have experience with production engineering, process improvements or production development
- Have a strong technical understanding and interest in the relationship between product, process and production
- Can work in a structured way with production documentation such as P-FMEA, Control Plan and SOPs
- Thrives in cross-functional collaboration between production, development and other stakeholders
- Communicate fluently in Danish and English, both spoken and written
If you have experience in industrialization, production maturation or NPD, that is an advantage but not a requirement. We place greater emphasis on your technical understanding, curiosity and desire to develop.
As a person you are proactive, practically oriented and responsible. You work independently, take ownership of your tasks and thrive being close to the production and the people who make the processes work every day.
What You'll Get from Us
At Danfoss you will become part of a competent production-technical environment where you have the opportunity to work on both the development of new products and the optimization of existing production processes.
You will get a role with broad technical breadth, where you can combine project work, technical problem solving and production-near implementation. The role also offers good opportunities to develop your skills within NPD, industrialization and production technology.
- We highly value internal development and support your learning through mentoring, training and global opportunities
- You will experience flexibility, independence and support to perform at your best, as well as a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us
- We aim to create an inclusive work environment where everyone, regardless of background, is respected and valued for who they are
- You will have access to benefits such as annual bonus, pension scheme, personal insurance, a truly excellent canteen and much more. Benefits may vary by country and contract, but they are worth asking about, as we believe they are very advantageous!
